Duty free or is there import tax to pay
I travel to Europe regularly, and I have been looking to buy a new camera in Europe for my own use. I can see it is possible to claim the VAT back whilst in the airport in Riga or Vilnius, but then do I need to declare this when I return to England, i.e. use the red channel at the airport?

Vrbo, E Bookers, Expedia
Buyer beware have just returned from a holiday in Thailand that I first booked in December 2023. We were to fend for ourselves as they cancelled the booked…

Young adults not allowed credit cards or to buy foreign currency
Daughter (19) is organising fairly long trip abroad but isn't allowed a credit card and now we find she can't even buy cash because she doesn't pass the security check of The Currency Club. When I used to travel at that age, I had a Barclaycard and was able to organise the whole thing without any problems or hitches at…

Changing cash at airport.....
So, I made the classic mistake of changing case at the airport before flying, due to being in a tired state and not entirely thinking clearly. I paid £150 and received 135 euros (0.936 rate). Now, I know rates are hideous at airport branches, but still. The current rate for Pounds to Euros is 1.17 so I should have received…

Is it likely that I am going to be fined, or just a…

Travelling to China - money help - which credit /debit cards
Hi we are travelling to China in a few weeks and I’m little concerned
on our options for money. We will take some cash and have a Barclay credit card

cash on and ideally make payments on and that’s not going to cost us a fortune in charges and is…

I've posted previously for a trip to Turkey, and now wondering if there are better places to find springs that you can go to and getting there by public transport.
