Beat My Quote! Travel Agents Thread
What’s this about? This is a special thread where you can ask all the Travel Agents and MoneySavers who frequent this board to beat a holiday quote you have and get personalised replies. The idea is to see if someone can beat a quote for a specific holiday; not just a general price. So you need an exact quote. E.g. "I've…

UK mobile phone use while in America
Hi all, I am a UK citizen, and will be in America (east side), for 3 weeks next month, on part holiday, part business. I need to use my UK mobile phone number while in America, for calling and receiving. What would be the cheapest way for me to call UK mobile numbers from America, using my UK mobile number while in America…

What's available on Tui flights?
OK so I suspected that you have to pay for your food on TUI flights and have just realised that they say you should prebook your meal. So that's not happening as there isn't enough time. But do they give you water for free?? I know there is bottled available at a cost. Or should I buy some or fill up before boarding? Also…

No compensation for baggage damaged by Wizz Air
I returned from a trip to Budapest to find that my 23kg hard-shell suitcase had been very badly damaged around the wheel area, with a crack running through one entire side. I'd only noticed when I got home so I hadn't had a chance to file at the airport. I immediately raised a case with Wizz Air online and they requested…

Help needed – scam payments to "LOVEHOL-DOM" and nowhere left to turn
Hi all, I’m hoping someone here can offer advice or has been through something similar. Back in March, a relative of mine tried to book flights online through what she believed was Love Holidays. She spoke to someone on the phone, who then moved the conversation to WhatsApp to take payment — something we now know is not…

Miss sold holiday
Does anyone have experience of claiming back the cost of a hotel if the hotel does not provide the amenities as stated at the time of booking? We have a holiday coming up soon and was booked primarily based on the pool and facilities being available and open for use by the children. Having read recent reviews, majority…

Nationwide FlexPlus Travel Insurance
Hi, We've had a FlexPlus account for a couple of years, primarily for the Worldwide Travel Insurance. I've never made a travel insurance claim in 30+ years of extensive travel. However this year @Wizz Air threw our entuire summer plans into chaos when they cancelled all flights from Budapest to Dubai. My trip was basically…

Best package holiday comparison website

Any suggestions or…

Flight tickets disappearing from the system - who to chase
I cannot believe that I have turned to an on line forum to seek an opinion on who/how to get compensation for a total ticketing shambles, even one as reputable as MSE! But we are at a loss as to who to pursue and what is the best way to do it. In September 2024, we bought tickets through a travel agent to fly to…

Halifax Clarity card - additional charges DK
I have had this card for years as a best travel card. For the first time ever I have had to pay additional charges when settling the bill. The merchant said it was because UK was outside EU. Is there anything I can do in future to avoid this situation?

EasyJet reimbursement shortfall
My girlfriend and I were due to travel back from Milan to Gatwick and the flight was cancelled a few minutes before we were due to board due to diversion of the incoming flight from a lightning storm (therefore crew changeover could not take place). The ground staff simply asked us to make our own arrangements and left us…

Holiday illness- am I entitled to compensation?
Unfortunately, our entire family became severely unwell during what was meant to be a relaxing holiday between 20th-27th August 2025. The illness began on day two, with my husband experiencing violent vomiting and diarrhoea, while myself and our two children suffered from stomach cramps and persistent diarrhoea. The…

Took on EasyJet and Won
During the power cuts in Malaga in April we were stranded at the airport at 1am with a baby, along with a lot of other people. We did our best to muddle through but as you might imagine, being stuck at an airport with nowhere to go, in a powercut, with a baby - it was horrendous and expensive. EasyJet were nowhere to be…

Future Package Holiday - Flight Times Changed
I'm sure this happens often but please forgive the ignorance. I've booked and paid the minimum deposit for a Jet2 package, travelling in 11 months time. Booking made 2 weeks ago. Flights have changed by -9.5 hours making the O/B flight awkward enough that it will make additional cost inevitable. The email informing me of…
