Hotel prices
I have found a deal on morerooms.com which is a quarter of the price the hotel direct are charging. The hotel has a ‘best price guarantee’ but will not match the price, just offered a slight discount. Should they match the price?

Campervan insurance: must I inform my insurer when/where I'm travelling in EU?
I'll be off for several weeks to Spain and Portugal from the UK in a few weeks time. I've being doing this for a few years and never informed my insurer up until my last trip at end of 2023. The only reason I did last time was because, when I contacted my insurer (Adrian Flux) about renewal, I said during the conversation…

Renewing passport while on holiday
I am keen to avoid the increase in passport fee on 11 April. I am planning on using my passport shortly after that date. Does anybody know if I could apply for a passport before the 11 April, use my current passport to go on holiday mid-April, and then post my current passport as part of my application once I am back in…

Package holiday sale query
Hi We just booked a package holiday with Jet2 during their spring sale (5 days ago), and since the promotion has ended the exact same holiday is now available for £300 less (ie cheaper than the price that was promoted as a reduction during the sale)- this seems unfair and misleading- are they allowed to do this?? I can…

Withdrawing Euros from a UK ATM
I’m looking to get some euros. I’m aware it’s cheaper and
easier to pay with a fx-free credit or debit card when I get there but I’m
hoping to have some cash too. I know I can use some fee-free UK debit card to
withdraw money from ATMs in Europe and get pretty much the Mastercard/Visa
exchange rate with no loading or…

Is there reluctance by EU countries to accept UK GHIC cards or is it something else?
Following advice that I have a GHIC card and holiday insurance. Arriving at an Greek medical facility the first thing they asked is for details of my medical insurance. I found that by imediately profering it they completely ignored the fact that I was entitled to state care via the GHIC and gave me "private" treatment. So…

Insurance for multiple overseas domestic flight
Hi We're off to Canada for a month and taking 4 internal flights. Airport parking, with and without hotel booking
I need to book a hotel at the airport for the night before I fly. If I book just the hotel it is almost twice the price as if I book the hotel and parking for one week. I can see nothing in the terms and conditions that speak to being obligated to actually use the parking. Both options are offered through Holiday Extras.…

Admiral travel insurance- disgusting company
Took out Admiral travel insurance when I booked my holiday back in February. A few days before I'm due to go on holiday, I get a call to say my sister is in hospital on end-of-life care. She has been an alcoholic for years, excluded all people from her life and she has been very secretive about her life. As her next of…

Saga Egypt Holiday
Going on my first Saga holiday later this year. It's a hotel stay and a Nile cruise holiday. Not many recent reviews online, so I would be grateful for any tips or hints. Specifically, is there a way to upgrade the accommodation, nothing came up when I did the booking? Also, I'm confused about tipping. It's fully…

GIHC card - the myth!
I am not sure if this is the correct forum for the topic of “GHIC card and what to expect” and I’m also very surprised that a search of the forums has returned no hits! I am currently in Mallorca until 17th June, and immediately upon arrival, I contracted a respiratory infection. Armed with my passport and the GIHC card, I…

Hi all, I'm just about to sort out travel insurance, we are travelling as a family but my eldest child is 19, can I still book as a family? Also does Uni count as full time education? It was so much easier when they were younger! Was a little surprised at initial quotes were around £70-80 for a one of trip but this does…
