Child spending money
My teen (15 years old) is off to Disney Land Paris with school in Feb for 4 days, they can take 75 euros in cash but have been told to take any more on card. So what is the best way to do this? She has a Lloyds current account but I dont think you can add Travel Smart on to it as it is a U19's account. We would probably…

Vacations To Go
Has anyone booked a cruise through this site? It offers discounted fares across a range of cruise lines. The offers are attractive but I'm wary. It's US based and I'm concerned about not having the usual safeguards -ABTA/ATOL etc. Another concern is making a payment to a US company. I did search this site and there was a…

Single trip vs annual cover
Hi, Apologies if this answer is hidden anywhere (i'm unable to locate this). Basically, I'll be taking an overseas trip from 17th July to 16th August (however, the return flight is overnight and so lands on the morning of the 17th August). The trip is 31 days, however if I count the day I land home, it's 32 days. I'm…

Extending backpackers travel insurance
hi, my son has been travelling in Asia for 8 months and has decided he wants to stay another 6 months as he has now qualified as a scuba diving instructor. He took out an initial 8 month single trip policy with LV insurance who have been excellent- he has already claimed for a stolen phone and they paid up quickly. They…

Anybody know the 'grace period' for returning late at APH, Slip End Luton Airport?
As far as I can make out, it's simply 'up to midnight'... which is pretty useless for flights scheduled to land, say. 10pm.

eDreams Prime – recurring charges I don’t recall signing up for. Anyone else?
Hi everyone, I’m hoping to hear from others who may have had similar issues with eDreams Prime. I recently discovered that I’ve been charged annually since 2023 for an eDreams Prime membership. I genuinely do not recall knowingly signing up to this subscription. When I logged into my eDreams account, the information…

Warning: TravelFX is NOT FCA Authorised – TravelMoneyMax listing appears misleading
I want to flag something important about TravelFX that I think other users should be aware of before using them. I originally chose TravelFX because they appear on the TravelMoneyMax comparison tool and are shown as: That label was a major factor in my decision, as it suggests regulatory oversight and consumer protection.…

TUI changed my flight times
We should be flying to Turkey in June 2026 to the same hotel we stayed at last year. A couple of weeks ago, TUI contacted us to say they were changing our return flight time from 4:55pm to 9:35am which I wasn't too concerned about as we just want to get home on our return day. However, on Friday, I had another email from…

Looking for help on holidaying in Poland
I should've asked this 3 months ago when I originally had the idea!! Basically I'm looking to go to Poland next year around August / September. This will be the first time I've ever done any kind of booking like this myself. All the internal travel we've done is basically book a hotel and then train or drive & it's just…

Saga holiday insurance
I have booked my first saga holiday with insurance. I rang to inform them I had a potential new condition having been referred to a consultant for a foot injury. They said the insurance would be cancelled if there was no diagnosis yet. Surely that’s what I took insurance out for - unexpected events? Is this right?

Love Holidays - stressed!
My 18 year son and friends booked a holiday to Zante for June 2026. The bulk of the group booked earlier than my son and 3 friends who booked in October. They paid a deposit of £30. Two of my son’s group can’t afford it now and pulled out. However, as my son is the lead on the booking, he’s now liable for paying their…

Travel insurance renewal issue re. pre existing conditions
I have been with Avanti for 2 years and was due to renew this week. I had blocked auto renewal because I wasn't ready to renew. Last year Avanti allowed me to renew without completing the medical form with pre existing conditions all over again. This year I needed to make a couple of minor amendments to the conditions…

Travel Insurance through an RBS packaged bank account
Recently my husband and I were looking forward to a special trip to Thailand to celebrate my 50th birthday. My husband was working offshore and should have been home 5 days before our flight. Due to adverse weather conditions all helicopter flights were cancelled and he didn't arrive home until the day after our flight.…

M&S dumps travel insurance
Received a letter this morning. M&S is stopping the travel insurance associated with it's mastercard credit card. There is currently a £30 monthly fee and no mention of this being reduced! I am sure that TI must have made up the bulk of their fees. I can't imagine that 'free' coffee vouchers cost them that much. One for…

Sim for use in NZ and Aus for local calls and data
I'm looking for advice on getting a SIM or eSIM to use for around 30 days in New Zealand and Australia. I'm interested in local calls and texts and a small amount of data (say 1-2Gb). Anybody have any advice on the best service provider in terms of coverage? Thanks

Travel Insurance
Martin Lewis states that customers should always take out travel insurance as soon as they book a holiday. I have booked a holiday for my wife my daughter and my grandchildren. Should it be me that books the insurance straight away as I have paid for it or should my daughter also book it for herself and my grandchildren?

QM2 newbies
My partner and I have the good fortune to be looking forward to traveling on the Queen Mary 2 in the near future for three weeks. Neither of us has been on a cruise before. We fly to San Francisco, board the QM2 en route to New Zealand, arrive in NZ 20 days later and fly home after a 2-week stay in NZ. Of the 20 days, 4…

Child UK passport renewal
My son's UK passport expires in April so we're applying for a new one for him. The passport renewal website states: "To renew your child’s passport you’ll need: * your child’s old passport * any valid passports from a different country your child has - send either a colour photocopy of each page (including blank ones) or…
