Mobile data from TooSIM for New Zealand

I'm sorting out data for a 2 week trip and need the cheapest reliable eSIM. I've found TooSIM for New Zealand that does 20GB for $27.99 without promos and discount, but I'm planning to search a little before buying. Meanwhile Airalo's 20GB plan for New Zealand is $38.
I don't want to land and then spend time looking for a SIM. I'd rather buy this in advance and be done with it. I've read some good reviews about TooSIM, and people seem happy with their support as well. I'm leaning towards buying it, but a question about coverage and stability still remains.
Has anyone here used them in New Zealand? Does it hold up well across the country? I'm trying to save money but not at the cost of unreliable service.

See if you can find a "backpacker" blog written by a traveller who's been there/done that.

The traditional travel guides all seem to have done deals with various travel SIM companies so I'm not sure how unbiased any advice they give about this is.

For the local NZ networks - Spark is the best, then One (formally Vodafone) then 2 degrees.

I would either get a local sim on Spark such as Skinny or an e-sim that roams on both Spark and One for best coverage as most seem to use One only.
