I live in a 2 bedroom 3 person house which is a new build which I rent off the local housing authority, my neighbours live in a large 4 bedroom house and I pay the same council tax, I have tried to get it changed with out success, could it be right,i think it's so unfair?

We sold our house last year. The new owner has successfully challenged it’s council tax band, getting it reduced from band G to F. Can we request reimbursement for the overpayment of council tax for the period we owned the house? The house has not been changed in anyway since we and the new owners have owned it.
