Should you give current provider opportunity or just switch?
So we did the energy saving club thing on here and could be saving £350+ on gas and electric. Should we just cancel our current and switch or give them warning and see if they will offer us a better deal? Also any advice about switching? We have never done so before..! Thank you.

Is this genuine?
Hi I got a card through the letterbox from Morrisons Data Service saying they knocked but had no answer and they came to get meter readings for electricity and gas, they wrote that they came as they" were asked to by my supplier." My name wasn't even on the card and neither was my suppliers name and they just came…

Looking for some phone numbers for SP. Having a nitemare, far too complex to go into. But even after ruling in my favour by Ombusman, still getting no joy. This on going problem, is def not being addressed. Have spent many hours on phone, no one ever rings me back. Just get standard patronizing emails, fobbing me off. I…

Name and Shame your Smart Meter Supplier Share your experiences
OK Let's face it, we have one of the weakest Governments in our history, they literally do not have the balls to dump or suspend the Smart Meter programme despite it being a total debacle and waste of £12bn of your money. We are going to get dragged kicking and screaming into having a smart meter, so who are the best and…

Switching supplier: final reading
I have just switched supplier and submitted my initial/final reading (to both) on 05-Sep-2018 Had a thought today that in a time of rapidly rising energy costs, I should have hugely overestimated my readings and effectively prepaid for several months fuel at the old, cheaper rates. Has anyone tried this; did it work well…

Direct Debit when switching
Bulb are no longer cheapest for me. I am £150+ in credit . Anyone know how they perform in refunding if I switch? Am considering OutfoxThe Market and they have quoted me a monthly Direct Debit but winter is just round the corner. I query whether they will stick by an average for my annual usage or chase the Direct Debit…

isolation switch
I am having a new consumer unit fitted and my electrician told me to contact my energy supplier EDF to fit an isolation switch I was told by an advisor that a smart unit would suffice. Today I had the smart unit fitted but the guy who fitted it seemed unsure as to whether there is an isolation switch. Looking on Internet I…

Energy Switch - when do I provide final readings
Hi all I have started the process of switching energy provider via USwitch. I have received an email from First Utility (who I am leaving) acknowledging that I have started the process. It states that my new supplier (NPower) will manage the switch and let me know when it's complete. It also says to provide us (First…

What am I missing here?
Hi guys I expect this is me being dim but I've completed the Cheap Energy Club form where it asks you your current supplier (Igloo) and how many units you use per month (approx 417 for elec and 167 for gas) and when I've finished, the current tariff at the top of the comparison list states my current cost is £901/year and…

Hi, new-ish to the forum so apologies if this is covered elsewhere. I did look haha. Just wondering if anyone has used the Lookaftermybills service? Huge jump in monthly bill
My electricity gets paid by DD every month at £42.71. Today, £101.31 was taken for electricity and that’s how much will come out based on “projections”. I’m £58.15 in credit now! Their previous projections had me estimated to pay £444.39 electricity but I only used £396.72. This is with British Gas and I have a smart…
