Direct Debit when switching

Bulb are no longer cheapest for me. I am £150+ in credit . Anyone know how they perform in refunding if I switch? Am considering OutfoxThe Market and they have quoted me a monthly Direct Debit but winter is just round the corner. I query whether they will stick by an average for my annual usage or chase the Direct Debit figure when winter usage is higher.

Bulb will refund your credit when they have received an industry-validated switch reading from your new supplier. My experience was that they were pretty quick.

As far as OFTM is concerned, you need to look at their terms and conditions which state:

7.2 Paying by direct debit means:

You must keep your account in credit by paying for the supply in advance.

You agree to contact us before the direct debit is taken from your bank account if you believe your bill is incorrect.

We will carry any debit or credit balance forward to the next month’s bill.

You must give us an up-to-date meter reading at least every 30 days.

As you are switching late in the season, then I suspect that your DD payment will increase to cover Winter usage.
