What am I missing here?
Hi guys
I expect this is me being dim but I've completed the Cheap Energy Club form where it asks you your current supplier (Igloo) and how many units you use per month (approx 417 for elec and 167 for gas) and when I've finished, the current tariff at the top of the comparison list states my current cost is £901/year and £75/month.
However, I shall now be paying £115 a month direct debit to igloo (up to now it's been £108.91) and I'm just £1.90 in credit...so what gives?? Is the comparison tool OK or am I missing the bleepin' obvious!
Thanks!

Units on the electric meter equate to kWh
Units on a gas meter are either in Cubic Meters or Cubic Feet.
Be aware, if in Cubic Feet, 1 unit on the gas meter is actually 100 cubic feet.
Check you have coverted the gas figure to kWh correctly.0 -
Ahh, of course! Thank you!0

i find that multiplying metric gas units by 11.2 is near enough and Imperial by 31 to convert to kwhs
A lot of last years rates for suppliers were lower than the best current ones so the comp sites will now show the best rates in your area higher than last years. Prices have risen and will probably rise later on this year.
I have just done a comparison from one of EDFs best tariffs from last years fix ending soon and the cheapest supplier for a fixed tariff is £100 a year more.0
