Leave or Re-list?
I only list items on FVF reduction offers - usually the 80% off fees since I no longer get the £1 max fee's offer :disappointed: Listed lots of items as a BIN with Best Offer during the last offer. I have 18 days remaining in the first selling period - I am aware the items must sell in the first period to be eligible for…

Curious tracking entry on Evri shipment!
Not a problem, just curious why Evri would make strange tracking entry on a parcel I have returned. To explain I returned a parcel by Evri to a clothes store on Monday. On the tracking - Collected from Parcel Shop Inbound Parent Child at Depot On its way back to retailer. What on earth could "inbound parent child at depot"…

Annoying buyer
Just had my ‘favourite’ sort of buyer on an auction on my private account. Bid on the same day I listed it, then bid again two days later and again yesterday , so of course I was thinking he really wanted this item especially as no one else was bidding. Won the item last night at starting price and this morning he’s just…

ebay listing fees, I am being charged even though I have 980ish free listings left
I have about a dozen items for sale and am just leaving them to automatically relist each month. I have just been informed that I owe £5.60 in listing fees even though I have 999 free listings available each month. Has there been a change in relisting that I have missed or is this an ebay glitch? Thanks in advance for any…

Query with Postage on Ebay
I'm just about to send out my eBay parcel and wanted to use the ship your order service. It is showing me that a medium parcel up to 20kg Royal Mail Special Delivery is £6.35. Surely this cannot be correct? On the Royal Mail website the same parcel quote is £14.45. The parcel weighs just over 2.2kg. If I went with Ebay…

Shoes bought on eBay and soles crumbled after first use.
I bought a preloved hotter shoes on eBay. The item arrived in good condition and was very pleased with my purchase. But on first wear the soles started to crumble. I did a search on the internet and it seems to be very common with hotter shoes. Hotter shoes are not cheap and I thought I was getting a bargain. I have…

How to pay someone securely for a motorcycle
Don’t know if I’m in the right place here… but I’m
contemplating buying a vintage motorbike advertised on Car & Classic.
Trouble is, the bike’s in England, and I’m in N Ireland, so I’d have to have it
delivered rather than collecting and paying for it in person. I’ve been buying things on eBay for many years, using…

Send mail in transparent "envelope"?
Random thought just occurred to me since I recently started using print at home service from Royal Mail.... I have been buying self seal plastic envelopes for sending small items and sticking a print at home label with barcode onto this. Zip lock bags from supermarkets are just 5p each and essentially the same thing but…

Parcels delivered to GSP centre not showing delivery confirmation
From the 28 September to 3 October, I sent 9 parcels 2nd class signed for to the GSP centre and none of them are showing as delivered on the Royal Mail website. They all have the message "We've got it " on the RM tracking. Two of the parcels have been delivered to the foreign buyer so they were obviously received at the GSP…

Ebay in US$ not £
When creating or editing listings, does anyone else have the currency appear as US$ rather than £'s?When I actually list the item it does show as £'s but it gets confusing as I worry I'lllist items too low (not that there is much of a difference in currency these days).

Can't pick up parcel - what next?
I opted for click and collect. The seller took so long to dispatch my item that I am no longer able to pick up my parcel, nor have I got anyone to pick it up for me. I will have to let my item go. I know the parcel will be held for 7 days, which I think (correct me if I'm wrong) it is returned to the seller? Once it is…

Taking Ebay to court
Hi all I recently posted a thread on this forum about Nationwide and Ebay losing my money and I'm now looking to take the next step and take Ebay to court to recover my money. To recap: 1. I accidentally changed my registration address from the UK to Italy, as I was selling an item that was located in Italy and couldn't…

Initial advice for a first time private seller - in particular shipping.
Hi there. I have been advised to pop over here for some initial advice as I have some items in my loft that I might like to get rid of via Ebay. I have bought from Ebay a number of times but never sold anything. There is a lot of advice out there but I find that it is either tailored to the US market. Any English stuff…

I have been using Paypal for a couple of years whilst selling donated items for a charity. Recently, I have bee continually asked to prove I'm not a robot, select pics and have a code sent to my phone even though I have asked it to 'remember me'. If I have Paypal open but am looking at another tab on the laptop for a…

OnBuy.com user Reviews
I decided to give OnBuy a try but I had a bad experience. My purchase did not arrive and the Supplier was not responding to my emails, I escalated the issue to PayPal who found in my favour and I received a full refund from PayPal. So I have not lost any money. I gave the Supplier a 1* review on the OnBuy website but it…

Money Moral Dilemma: Our neighbour is selling clothes we've given them - should we say something?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... My partner and I gave our neighbour some clothes that no longer fit us, as well as some expensive designer underwear that had never been worn. To our horror, they're now advertising what we've given them for sale online. Should we say something about them taking advantage of…

Listing Returns - BIN and Auction-Style
Is there any difference in return policies between Auction-Style and BIN listings? I'm a private seller, and generally only list when there is an 80% off fee's offer (considering the £1 max fee seems to be dead now). Generally, I've always listed auction style with best offer as I understand with auction-style listings…

Ebay not functioning properly
I get hardly any views for my items these days and therefore hardly any sales. Earlier in the year I had fewer items listed and a higher rate of sales. I know some people might put it down to the cost of living crisis and people cutting back on unnecessary purchases. However, I was wondering if it might be a technical…
