Vinted discussion forum closing

I’m sure most regular Vinted users have already seen the messages but Vinted are closing their discussion forum in February. I think that’s a shame as Vinted help is rarely helpful and with the scammers on there having a chat board to reach out to other members to check whether messages are genuine or not, or to warn about scams has been very useful.

I didn't even know they have a discussion forum. I have used Vinted for a couple of years and I've never come across a site/app with so many scammers and such terrible customer support. They are absolutely the worst platform out there.

I agree that scammers are rife, which is why the boards there were useful. At least twice a week someone posts asking about why Vinted want their bank card details, plus the actual balance amount in their account on that day- and regular members get a chance to warn them it’s a scam. Likewise about the fake trainers, handbag etc sellers. I suspect more vulnerable people are going to lose money goi g forward, Vinted does seem to attract people who haven’t sold online before and have no idea how to stay safe and spot a scam.

I have used Vinted a couple of times and haven't had a problem.  Although the one item I bought, I chased it up and the sale was cancelled as the seller didn't complete the sale and I got refunded.  I bought the same item from someone else.
