Free Solar Panels?
I've seen lots of advertising recently for companies offering free solar panels. It seems like a good idea, considering we have a south facing roof and live right on the south coast (so plenty of sunshine :o )! My understanding is that the company will install and maintain the panels, but will take any income from the Feed…

So i don't really have any idea of what our bills have been, but also we are moving from a large bungalow to a smallish three bed 2 storey semi. Our new house currently has no gas meter fitted, so i assume i…

I submitted my meter reading on 12th March it was 59807 and now they have sent me a new bill and changed my meter reading I sent them to 69807 in the part 'On 12 Mar 2011 You gave us a reading' consequently making the bill much higher. Isn't this fraud? and what should I do about it?

Gas consumption estimating
I'm attempting to find out whether my gas consumption is realistic, and what I should expect to use/pay. I have a two room flat with a 4-bar gas fire and a two-burner gas cooker. I use the cooker for 15-30 minutes a day, and I tend to keep the fire on at its lowest setting, which is a fraction of one bar. The flat is on a…

Gas bill DOUBLED this year when I used less...
I'm with British Gas, and just got my quarterly bill for the last 3 months and it's twice what it was last year. I'm wondering how this is possible as I actually used the heating less this year, and when I did it was at a much lower temperature (25% instead of 80+ %). It's saying in the last 3 months I have used 1393…

is this legal?
My sister is being charged for NOT USING ENOUGH gas each quarter. When she phoned to ask about it they said that it was a "recalibration fee" and she would be better off leaving her gas on so she didn't fall below the required amount. What does this really mean & is it legal? She is with British Gas xx:mad:

I'm at the end of my patience - HELP!
Guys my gas and electricity usage seems stupidly high. I am unsure if it's our usage or the tariff. We're moving to EDF from npower but the following is my problem: Electricity Usage: 15/1/2011 - 14/3/2011 = 2836 = 119kwh @ £0.163 + 2717 @ £0.1275 = £365.42!!!!!!!!!!!!! What on earth! We have an electricty monitor from…

E on over charging?
Does anyone use E.on for gas and electric? Is there cheaper gas and electric suppliers out there? I've just got a bill for over £500 only live in a one bedroom flat I'm not sure if this is a mistake or they are really that expensive. I only payed £40 a month in my last flat when I was on a pre paid meter.

Gas pipe on wall outside house
The flat above me is having a new boiler fitted and today the workmen ran the gas pipe up and out of the wall by their front door. They want to take it down the steps onto a white wall which is the outside of my flat and into the gas meter cupboard. It looks awful and I've never seen a gas pipe on the front of a house…

Don't know why the gap. In February, I got a letter from EDF's Steve Hayfield saying that I needed to transfer my electricity or I…
