You have 7 days or whatever the number is these days from the day you request a transfer to ask that the transfer does not go ahead. If you miss that and it does go ahead and you are transferred you can always switch to another provider straight away if you wish. You'll then have to fight any cancellation charges with them but if you do it straight away and claim misselling by someone at the door then they'll sometimes write that off. Don't wait too long...

No, that would have been about 6 weeks since you requested a transfer. If you don't want to be with the new provider then switch to someone else. You can switch providers as often as you wish.
