Post your private parking IAS Decisions here! We had a thread of IAS Decisions last updated ten years ago, and it is closed. Let's show the MHCLG why good people here generally stopped 'futilely going through the motions' for a decade. Please search & find recent IAS joke decisions, good or bad (let's keep it balanced ...…

I have a zero exit fee and was thinking of jumping before the rise on the 1st July which is also when my tariff expires, as it looks likely there is going to be at…

Excess Reportable Income on an ETF based overseas
ETFs are very popular ways to trade funds, and for tax reasons are almost always domiciled overseas, e.g. Ireland, Luxembourg etc. Apart from the Capital Gains Tax aspect when selling any share for a profit, I have become aware of HMRC's 'Excess reportable Income' rules for overseas funds. Although the fund I want is…

FSCS limit and S&S ISAs
I've got a FTSE all-share index tracker over 120k with Octopus Money, previously Virgin, well over the FSCS compensation limit of 85k. Should I transfer half to another provider to bring it back under the limit, or is it not a concern with stocks and shares? If they were to fail would I lose anything above 85k, or would I…

Hi all, Moved into a house in Jan that has a bulk LPG tank, which was previously supplied (and the tank is owned by) Calor. I am trying to find a suitable smart phone for a cousin in his mid 80s to replace his old dumbphone which has died.
