Hi all I had a ppi payout in august 2019 from an old littlewoods account from 2005. Would I be able to claim tax back on this ? I just read the article and went via the gateway filling out the R40 form but don’t think that was the correct way in hindsight

I read up on applying for tax refunding, I made my application on Gov.co.uk, I now have 4 tax bills for over £15000 worth of PPI, because I'm already paying 40% on my salary I have no chance of a refund but need to pay an extra 20% tax on what I received in PPI claims.
