Flow Temperature or Thermostat or TRV or Lockshield Valve?
Hi, I have a Worcester Bosch boiler specifically the Worcester Greenstar 32CDi Compact Combi gas fired Condensing Boiler. I like to know the most cheapest efficient way to run this boiler to keep the house warm. Is it cheaper to keep the boiler on all the time or only use the boiler when in the house? I am confused between…

Octopus Economy 7 tariff?
Does anyone know what the story is with Octopus and an Economy 7 tariff? A friend of mine said he has just switched to Economy 7 with Octopus. The night rate is cheaper than the 14.51p on the Octopus Flux tariff I'm on and is for a longer period (7 hours rather than 3 on Flux). I have a battery so a large majority of my…

My British Gas app hasn't been updating since 18.12.24
Hi all. I normally get a reading for both gas and electric after 48hrs (which is a pain). Since the 18th of December, I've had no updates, either from the browser log in or the app itself. Does that mean no information has been sent to the smart meter? If so, have I had free energy since that time? Thanks.

Hive - Most cost effective way to use?
Hi all, As the title says, just recently had a Hive system installed in our home - for context boiler is fairly new, only about 2 years old. What is the best cost effective way to use this type of device? We tend to currently leave it off and just use the 'Boost' function as and when we get cold, however I've ready that…

Caution with CheapEnergyClub, wrong rates!
Just a word of warning, best to double checking it's all correct before ploughing ahead with the recommended default! I was checking if my current dual energy fix was still good or worth changing. I'm with Co-op Energy/Octopus and I was surprised to see the search say OVO Energy would be £40 a year cheaper at £100 a month…

Economy 7 smart meter working on single tariff
I was wondering if someone could provide some advice. I had a Bulb smart meter installed (generation 2) in Feb 2022, replacing my previous 'regular' economy 7 meter. My usage is mostly on the night tariff, especially in the winter months (storage heaters). I naively thought that everything was OK, but I just realized…

I have Economy 7 with an RTS. There is no mobile signal here. EDF refused to install a Smart Meter at next door property due to lack of signal. I have spent the last 8 weeks having exchanges with my supplier, British Gas, about what will happen here when RTS is switched off. Their answer is that they will install a Smart…
