PAYG Meter For Business Energy?
Does anyone know any company who offers a PAYG meter tariff for business energy (would need one fitting). British Gas, N Power, SSE, Scottish Power, Octopus, UW said they do not offer them. Currently have a smart meter under a British Gas yearly contract but am coming away from them. Any help would be appreciated.

Octopus or EDF if they cost the same?
I'm currently with EDF, but am thinking of switching to Octopus. Both suppliers work out to be the same monthly amount if we fix, but we have two EVs and I'm wondering if we might be better off moving to Octopus flexible they'll move us to a smart tarrif. However Flexible tarrif is about £50 a month more so is it worth the…

British Gas and Smart Meters
When logged into my BGas account in Sept 2024( I think it was about then) I saw an offer to BGas customers - £50 to have smart meters installed. Immediately booked installation...earliest date and the only date was 2 Dec 2024. Got the booking confirmation but no mention of the incentive. Eventually contacted BGas to chase…

ID Theft and Debt Recovery Firm Chasing for British Gas
Husband has been receiving letters from a Debt Recovery Firm in Leeds to say that he owes thousands of pounds for gas and electricity used between July 2024 and January 2025 in a property that he actually SOLD in 2016. We cannot get through to these people that he does not own the property. We have sent them an Office Copy…

OVO Energy
This is THE WORST energy supplier in the UK. I swapped from Octopus with the promise of boiler cover 1/2 price for 6 months included with my energy. The boiler cover was not set up and after about at least 10 length calls to OVO it still was not resolved. I have been to the energy ombudsman. In one of the calls I was told…

Octopus - how to switch to Loyal Octopus tariff?

But I can't find any info about this tariff anywhere. Currently on Octopus 12M Fixed July 2024 v1. When I click on 'change tariff', the Loyal octopus is not listed as an…

Octopus Mini - Where Does Gas Data Come From?
Does anyone know if the Octopus Mini gets its gas data from the electric or the gas meter? I can see 30-minute gas usage in the “Day” tab of the Octopus app since setting up the Octopus Mini. However, after initially working OK when the meters were installed, other tabs (Month / Year) do not show gas usage. Electric is…

Solar Panel fault?
We've not had much luck with solar panels over the years. This is a single monocrystaline 150W panel mounted on a camper van roof, and it seems to have failed (if so, it will be the second one to do so). The reason I'm asking here as a question, is that the voltage and current output readings I'm getting are odd. The first…

meter reading on electric meter
Good Evening, I'm unsure if anyone can help. My son lives in a 2-bed flat with just an electric. He was originally with British Gas; his first meter reading was 01309. He has smart meters but no access to the room they are in as they are not located in the flat, so he has never actually provided a reading. Stupidly, he…

Can't get an appointment to fit Smart Meter
Having just bought an electric vehicle I'm keen to switch to an EV tariff to maximise the financial benefits. I've been trying (with British Gas) to arrange an appointment since January and, every time, there are no appointments available. About two months ago I raised a complaint and was told that I'd been placed on a…

Octopus yanking us around for a year. (GBIS - Great British Insulation Scheme)
Hoping that someone might be able to help me on this one. We applied for the GBIS (Great British Insulation Scheme) in February 2024 and since then we've had nothing but the run around with Octopus about when we can get the work carried out. We were sent and email in the summer saying that it had been accepted and we…

Dear all I hope you can give me pointers. My question is can I have the outstanding payment bill waived by Scottish Gas? The reason for the above question. I received a sorry to see you go letter from Scottish Gas in Oct 2023. My account was closed online Sept 2023 by an anonymous individual citing a house move. I promptly…

Is this a RTS meter? I don't think it is
E,ON have been sending me numerous messages to switch my RTS meter. However a meter reader came round last week and told me mine wasn't a RTS meter. I've told E.ON and sent them the attached photo but they still insist it is because it says Time Switch on the back board but I believe this is an old back board that was…

Did Martin ruin Economy 7 night rate Tariff's?
Some may remember this bizarre campaign by Martin from a few years ago: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2023/03/government-changes-how-the-epg-should-be-applied-to-economy-7-ta/ At the time with incredible high energy prices, energy companies were being subsidised by UK government to reduce kilowatt per hour by…

IF Tomato Goes Bust
I switched to Tomato and went live with 2 addresses on September 1st last year. They have failed to bill me despite me providing meter readings every 2 weeks or so. Their system stopped reporting smart meter reads after the first 6 weeks and nothing since. What happens if they go bust? Will a "supplier of last resort" bill…
