Not sure I understand this, but if I change to this tariff and energy prices fall, is my energy price only lowered at the time of the next price cap please? Thanks

As I understand it, the tariff won't rise but will fall if the Ofgem cap falls below the current level.

So yes, you won't see any changes except at the start of July, October, January and April when the Ofgem cap changes

See next post - no change until July 2027.

Only lowered if price cap falls July 2027.

Can change to another B.G fixed rate at any time without paying exit fees should cheaper fixes subsequently become available.

it’s only going to drop maximum £50 a year I think

Does anyone think this is a worthwhile deal?

it's all down to personal choice to be honest, what do you think ? Are you looking to blame someone else or do you have doubts in your logic and circumstances?

It's a 2 year deal and the leccy rate is similar to their current 1 year fix. We managed to get a good fix with BG in April but no longer available unfortunately - paying 20.67p per kwh electricity, and gas is 5.35p.

If it's the best available then it is what it is - a 2 year deal at least gives you some certainty. Expectation is for prices to go up again in October. Given what Trump is doing they might not go down until next year when he is hopefully impeached and imprisoned.

If prices go down then up again, does the tariff return to the rate you originally fixed at, or does it only go down?

Probably irrelevant anyway, can't see prices falling ant time siin
