Hi all, I’m in a dispute with Bionic (broker) and Opus (supplier) about my business energy contract and could do with some advice. No gas usage recorded on DCC since April. - Octopus billed for unreasonable amount of usage.
So I noticed on both Bright and Octopus no usage at all since April for gas. Whilst I am not using much now I am using something. My plan of action is to put boiler on for hour (all its usage since mid march has been timer only, not witnessed it on, but must be working as I have hot water), before putting on I will…

Fixed rate not fixed
My fixed rate energy bill has just more than doubled. What I didn't realise was that the fixed bit is cost per unit of electricity and not usage so I've managed to accumulate a fairly hefty debt. Had I known this I wouldn't have bothered with a fixed rate. British Gas, who my account is with, have agreed to lower my direct…

I recently switched from Eon Next to BG and my BG services started today. However I found a cheaper deal with Fuse, and I decided to switch from BG to Fuse. Am I correct that BG cannot charge me exit fees to move to a new supplier, as I am still within my initial 14 day cooling off period with them? I didn't want to cancel…

ECO4 - It is great but beware!!
ECO 4 is great, but beware! Anyone else is this same position? Anyone resolved the issues? Last April (2023) I did some research on the ECO4 scheme, via my Local Council website. I keep a spreadsheet of bills and usage etc and so I was tracking roughly what the closing amounts should be. Yesterday I received a demand for £1902 from Octopus, stating that the smart meter reading on 8th June was…
