Refund of account credit
Hi, are there any rules/best practice guidelines for energy companies on refunding all (or part) of their customers’ credit balances? My experiences vary from EDF who were happy to adjust a direct debit and refund part of a credit balance to Ecotricity who would only refund by billing for the period up to your request and then billing for the longer period up to your normal direct debit ( eg no effective refund at all!)

Most have a similar published procedure always worth looking it up to see if it contradicts with response to refund request.
