BRITISH GAS & CREDIT ENTRY TURMOIL & LIES..HELP!!!!
I'll try & make this as short as possible... We lived at an address. We left the address in AUG 24. We paid our final bill. We have - btw - all proof of this. The balance was £0. We moved to our new address. The account at the old address was in MY name but the DD came out of my wife's bank account. My wife - as BG have…

smart meters- what is typical lead time?
Hi, I have requested an EV Tariff and so a smart meter for electricity (and gas as it is ancient) from my supplier, Utility Warehouse (UW). Recently gone to a full EV so hoping to get their advertised EV Tariff ASAP. Being in the northern half of the UK I expect Arquiva will be the installers but just a guess. Responses…

£3000 Leccy Bill wrong
I moved into my flat in July last year and am with British gas. I'm on a smart meter. My meter and onscreen display also the usage data on the app says I've used 253 kWh since I moved in and that I owe £180(I know this is correct I've never paid more than £40 a month for electricity as I'm barely home and use around…

RTS meter - can we carry on using this meter?
My mum has Economy 7 electric heating. She hasn't had a letter telling her that her RTS meter was going to be turned off, and since she has a digital meter I thought it wasn't affected and the RTS box was disconnected. The display on the meter cycles between day, night, total. A couple of months ago the night time reading…

OVO - 8% Interest and charges reclaimed on credit balance
Hello All, After a 6 month battle with OVO Energy i'd like to post a short version of a success story here in the hope that customers leave them, perhaps picked up by the press or more people do what I have done. Big companies think they can simply make up rules, treat customers badly and get away with it. They really are…

British Gas cancelled my fixed rate
Wondering if anyone has had the same experience and what the outcome was. So fixed my gas and electric early October. Received the confirmation emails and heard nothing more. Gas is fine but my electric tariff (Peaksave Sunday V10 fixed until november 2026) has been cancelled nearly 2 months after it was fixed. I was only…

Gas meter not working
My main gas meter is not working. Discovered this when I went to read it for this quarter’s bill. Display is blank. Scottish power have estimated the bill and say I used £100 per month more gas in October, November and December than in September. I was really careful this year and didn’t put the heating on until near end…

Morrison Data Services - uncontactable!
My elderly m-i-l had a card through the door asking for a meter reading. We are now trying to submit same through the website and phone number on the card but it seems impossible. The website is down and the phone number just has a recorded announcement. Is this a wind-up or have they just turned everything off for…

Can't Find My Fuse Tariff
My Fuse tariff is "Fuse Energy August 2025 Fixed (13m) V5" which is not listed on MSE Energy. Obviously the comparison is pretty useless unless its against the correct unit rate and standing charge. It works fine on Uswitch so maybe MSE don't want my referral money any more ;)

New smart meter
I have ignored reminders from my provider every month when I give a new reading. I have received a letter telling me that the meter is "Aproching the end of it's working life". Can I say no to this? If not can I insist on it not being a smart meter. QUESTION: How would I know? This meter is a digital readout so I don't…

Can't find E.on "Next Secure Fixed 12m v60" on Cheap Energy Club
I've been on this since November 9th, so not a new tariff. Perhaps one of the others are equivalent? Be useful to have a live comparison so I can keep an eye on it.

Issues with So Energy since smart meter installation
Hi, we have been with So energy for the last 3 or so years, our fixed contract is up come October this year. We started with EBS originally and I was mildly smug about having fixed before the big hike in prices... however..... Winter 2022-2023, we were lucky enough that the gov payouts covered our bills, with them not…
