Sainsbury Energy and Nectar Points - closed account

We were with Sainsburys Energy for our duel fuel energy for about 3 years at our old house which we moved out of in 2024. As we had a nectar account, we got extra points based on how much our energy bill was. Nothing life changing obviously. The new house was already with BG and when we checked they were the cheapest around for us, so we stayed with them. We supplied end readings to our old supplier when moving out, left a note with the readings on for the people that bought our old house, and sorted out the newer house as well. A few weeks later we got a credit balance refund from Sainsburys and the account was closed. New accounts all sorted, no problems.

Due to moving we started doing more shopping at Sainsburys as that is the nearest decent supermarket. I started paying a bit more attention to their nectar points but not too much. However, earlier this month I noticed that on the 1st of the month we were still being credited with Nectar points for our energy. 2 lines, one for each energy supplied. It actually varies as well , anything from 200 to 800 points a month over the year going back 12 months (which is far as the app goes). I've double checked and the SE account is still closed, they aren't sneakily billing me for energy either. Anyone else had similar?

I'm quite happy to keep receiving their generosity obviously. Maybe they keep giving Nectar points for customers for a few years after they have left? Unfortunately I've lost the contact details for the buyers of our old house and we took the landline number with us, so can't check if they are still with Sainsburys Energy
