Exact Cash Withdrawal at Post Office
Probably obvious to many but had never occurred to me before. But at a post office you can withdraw an exact amount from the counter. Whereas at any cash point in said post office, depending on set up you can only with draw in denominations of £5 or £10. Handy for change for things like paying the window cleaner and saves…

airtime rewards logon problem
I have been with the airtime rewards app for a few years and it has been great. However they recently updated their app and I cannot get logged on. I have emailed them many many times with no response. Each time I try and log on it asks for my mobile number then my name, DOB, postcode and email then it tells me that a user…

Nationwide Flex Account charging for foreign money transactions or not?
I've had a Nationwide Flex account(bog standard with no fees) for years and remember one of it's benefits was there were no fees for international money transactions. In other words if I used my debit card to buy something in dollars, will I be charged a fee? Is this still the case because a friend claims that it is now…

TSB branch won't accept postal orders
We have a club (business) account with TSB but when we tried to deposit a crossed PO which is made out in our club name at the local branch they said they don't accept them. Can they legally refuse to accept them? Should we try again using a TSB bank envelope and pay it in at the post office?

Direct Debit Guarantee: Cancelling DD but Merchant requires one month notice
It's mid July, I've cancelled a direct debit, so I'm not expecting the merchant to charge me in August. However, in the merchant's terms and conditions they require one month notice, and therefore charging me in August. Does the Direct Debit Guarantee say anything about this situation?

Bank or Building Society?
Hi everyone, I'm new here so please excuse my question if it has already been answered. Basically, I suffer with severe anxiety and my bank point blank refuses to allow me to pay any money in via a real-life cashier and tells me that I have to use their deposit machine. I have tried on a couple of occasions and to be…

Chase ends 1% interest on debit card balances
It was fun while it lasted but it turned out to be Bait & Switch. From 5 August they won't pay any interest. I'll keep the card for overseas use as a backup to Barclaycard Reward (which pays 0.25% on purchases and doesn't charge fees or interest on cash withdrawals) but apart from the odd purchase to stop it being closed I…

Reckon I can do both bank switches in time?
Lloyds finishes 30th July, Barclays 30th August. Am desperate for cash sadly! Lloyds says it needs "Min pay-in for all perks: Needs a hefty £2,000 each month", but does this mean I can still get the cash without paying anything in, and just ignore the perks? Thank you.

Joint Account thoughts
So my husband and I have had a Santander 123 joint account for around 8 years but looking at the app it suggests I've only made about £100 with the cashback in that time. Is it worth sticking with it? Or should I move to something like Barcleys or First Direct and just remove the cashback element altogether? I also have a…

Barclays Blue Rewards - Joint (only one), so which retailers?
On Joint a/c's only one cardholder appears to earn cashback, so I'd like to know which retailers are in the scheme in order to decide which cardholder to opt into it? Obviously if it's ladies clothes shops etc then it will make more sense to nominate me; other retailers may attract hubby more. I dont seem to be able to see…

Arranged Overdraft: when is interest accrued?
(This is a question for bank accounts with overdraft facility in general, though I appreciate there may be no rule of thumb here and the answer is just different for every provider. In which case, please specify which bank/account in your response.) When arranged overdraft has been entered into, is there a "grace period"…
