Physical secure key

In the process of activating my new key, i am asked to enter the serial number on the back of the keypad, do i omit the dashes ? or enter it all ?

    No idea but they typically only take the right number of characters so if you run out of space when including the dashes then chances are it wants it without. Obviously no idea which bank, what product type you are talking about etc.

    Is this a DigiPass used for M&S / HSBC / FirstDirect? I would try it with the dashes first and if it fails try again without.

    It's not difficult to find out from the Bank concerned...  e.g. HSBC say

    Enter the serial number from the back of your new Secure Key
    The serial number can be found on the back of the device in the lower left corner.
    Please don't include any symbols or spaces.
