Dormancy in join account - I can't get my money
About 25 years ago, I opened up a bank account with my flat mate. She never used the account and soon after, went to USA and I lost touch with her. Last I heard she was married but have no idea what her married name is, where she is, or even if she is dead/alive (she was diagnosed with MS). I tried to get her name removed…

Monzo has disabled my account, it's been two weeks and no updates
Over the holidays my bank account suddenly stopped working. I totally understand that they have rules they need to follow so can't / won't say anything.…

Chase's ridiculous ID policy
A warning to those thinking of using Chase: I've been banking with them since 2022. I locked myself out of the app - for some reason fingerprint ID didn't open and the passcode didn't work. I divorced in 2021, and haven't yet changed my passport back to my maiden name, as I don't want to waste the 4 years left on it. I…

Santander 123 Lite - conversion to Everyday Account from 21 August 2025?
I posted this on another Santander thread, but it probably deserves one to itself for those who still have the 123 Lite. I've had it a very long time and remember Santander trying this move before only to be told they can't because the original sign up material pushed it as being free forever. Does anyone have any thoughts?

HSBC and Foreign Cheques
I inherited Hong Kong shares 25 years ago and dividends (usually approx £350 annually) are always paid in Hong Kong dollar cheques. Barclays stopped taking foreign cheques so I opened an HSBC Global money account but they’re going to be stopping international cheques from 12 December. The Hong Kong company have said they…
