Well seems like they want all customers to go paper free & reducing there printing operations!

If & when they eventually stop paper statements for good, I will move to another bank that offers that service for free!

The banks do need to make more money off us lol 😂

they gotta claw some money back, charging for paper statements is the way to go! Other countries do this already

seems fair enough. Most people don't want paper statements so printing for the shrinking proportion of those that do costs more.

Agreed if banks charge for example £3-5 a month for proper quality statements that would be better

that way more people will chose online instead

how do you mean by proper quality statements? They all say the same thing, just on paper rather than online

The biggest advantage of online (for me) is I check mine daily. Waiting a month for it to drop through the door is too long.

Paper statements are good if you are old because when the time comes and your executor needs to apply for probate they will need to know if you have given any gifts in the last seven years

So either the executors apply for the bank statements when they need them or you just get them and save them up for your executor
