TSB Spend and Save reward offer - what to choose - hotel or activity pass?
Hi,
I've been sent the code to choose my reward offer which is great but not sure what to go for. Can't find any information on the range of hotels on offer or the activities and don't want to make a wasted choice. For example, the voucher is for £120 and if the hotel rooms all cost more than that when I might be interested in going, I might as well not have the voucher because it will end up costing me money or I just won't use it all. Alternatively, if the attractions are all too far away from me, it doesn't matter if I can go every month, I won't be using it so it would be pointless choosing it.
Does anyone have any information on the actual offers so I can make an informed choice? It feels weird and unfair to be expected to just choose one with no real understanding of the real offer.
Thanks for any repllies!

I've chosen the hotel option for the reward, just on a hunch. However clicking through on the next email I received there seem to be a lot more hotels to choose from than shown on that list. I've not gone as far as booking yet but the service is provided by Experia, there's even hotels outside the UK available to book. Obviously most of them will cost more than £120 a night, but it still shows you get that amount reduced if you put dates in.

Yep, I wasn't sure about that hotel list's validity, there's no date shown - either on the list or the T&Cs, may have been for a previous promotion.

Yes that must be an old offer. I had bit more of a search and it seems you can choose pretty much any hotel that can be booked through Expedia, just a slightly different interface to search. You get £120 discount.

I've also just had the email and was wondering the same about hotels or activities. It is helpful if I know the terms of booking. If I see 2 hotels for £50 in different places, different dates, then can I book one and have credit left over. Also, I have experience with hotels.com rewards nights where you ended up paying taxes and could rarely find something for the exact value of the reward so always had to top up. I don't want to end up in the situation where I book a hotel for say £100 in rewards, there's then a supplement of £30 which can't be avoided. You lose the remaining £20. The hotel could have been booked direct for £60. An alternative airbnb could have been booked for £30 which I'd pay for the hotel. Same question for the activities, cannot find any info on venues available, what you're entitled to for free, what compulsory supplements you have to pay to get the "free" activity. Also it states monthly. Does that mean same venue each month or can I choose somewhere different each month. There's lots of vague information which is difficult to research.

How do you access the list of other hotels?
My TSB free hotel is from a previous offer, which i still haven't used, but can only see these hotels available
Got a link?

Found it here
Don't think i'm eligible for this one, as my TSB offer was slightly different.

II have just booked a hotel what happens is you go via their button, enter dates and location and it takes you to something that looks a bit like booking.com or whatever ie all the hotels are there with their prices and if you choose one it just simply knocks £120 off the price

I'm also struggling to choose, no information provided to enable us to make a fully informed choice. Activities in the A category can only be visited 30 days minimum apart. Others 7 days apart. For all I know none of them are within reach. TSB could do better to support their customers in making this decision.

I choose the hotel option as I too couldn't determine if any activities were near us. It's a big con, I compared the prices of Travel Credits to the same hotel, dates( 2 nights form 15 Feb) and room that expedia have. For example Inverness Mercure £208 on TC but £111 on expedia, that means your credit is worth £23 in reality not £120, Inverness Leonardo £224 on TC but £124 on expedia, that means your credit is worth £20 in reality not £120. I tried different Cities and different dates, it's the same thing, I didn't see any hotels were they were not asking you to pay at least £80 extra after you credits have been supplied. Having waited a while for this I am very disappointed in the reality of the saving and that a bank has exposed it's customers to a basic con.
