Chase packaged insurance

Apologies if already posted but a quick search didn't show anything.

Just noticed on the app that Chase are now offering an Insurance package for £12.50 pm covering worldwide travel, mobile phones and breakdown cover.

Haven't read in detail yet so can't comment on it personally.

One takeaway from the Travel product - under 70's only.

    Still invite-only?

I received invitation e-mails today and few days ago - and I do see this in the app.

My wife haven't received any emails - and there is no anything about the package in her app (under 'Discover')

No invite or email received. I just noticed it on the app, my home page at top now has Spend, Save & Invest, Insure.

Possibly you just opted out of receiving e-mails.

And both my e-mails say "As a valued Chase customer, we're pleased to offer you early access to Chase Protect. Please do not forward this email, as this product isn’t available to all customers yet."

No, I haven't opted out and have received others. I'll probably get an email eventually as happened with the credit card, £250 RAF etc They appeared on the app first too.

I got this invite. We already use Virgin M plus for this which has gone up to £14 this month so I did look at the details for the Chase offer. The main difference which may not impact everyone but does us, is that the breakdown cover is UK only (M plus account includes Europe too). Also Chase covers mobile phones only, while M plus is all gadgets. M plus says it is cover for 'family gadgets' so with 3 kids rapidly nearing the teenage years this is a bonus for us, while Chase isn't clear (but i haven't dug further so it may be comparable).

Another difference is that M plus can be a joint account (same monthly price). Although most of the VM perks are for the whole family anyway, for the breakdown cover, it would only cover the account holder when driving so having it joint was essential for us so my husband is covered too when I'm not in the car. Chase doesn't offer Joint accounts so the small print would need to be checked carefully if you wanted other half to be covered.

Nothing for me, no email and no sign of anything in the Chase app.

  • Chase Protect appeared in my iOS app this morning and an email arrived this afternoon to explain further.

I had a quick look but couldn't find where to add pre-existing conditions - has anyone else?
