First Time Making a Saveable Wage as a Young Person - Where to Put it?
I want to save, I have ISA's and bank accounts, I just have no idea where to put it. I get my salary into a nationwide checking, and I have a monzo for regular spending. I just have no idea where to put the money I save towards things. Monzo pots, separate saving accounts - a nationwide one? Like what about the money I…

TSB banking app issues
Hello Has anyone else had issues with logging into the TSB app? I usually log in with my thumb print on my phone but that method and the memorable information option were giving me an error message that I would have to set up my phone again. I have no idea why. I remember setting it up a couple of years wasn't the…

This w/e I am "debanked" (now resolved: 90 hours wait, no info. Complaint rejected. Now ombudsman.)
Unbelievable, but here it is… I went to do some shopping and the woman at the till made a mistake and tried to charge my card £5103.49 instead of £3.49. The transaction was blocked, so there was no harm done or was there? When I tried to use my card (i am still in that shop) I couldn't. I immediately phoned my bank to see…

Hi all, have looked at other threads, but they all appear to be from some time ago. Please note, question is for paying bills / utilities and not for holiday spending. So I have an NIE number, is it easier to open an account here online for a Spanish account, or in a branch when I am away? I've looked at other posts, and…

PayPal+
The benifits of the gold level are pretty good but it requires you to spend 25k which is out of reach for me as normal spending even over a few years. Is there some hack to it? Is there a way to pay yourself and it be eligable spending? I have the money available in savings to do it but it's just if paying by the linked…

FSCS - Lloyds Bank and Halifax Bank Linked
I regularly review my savings accounts. As I have noticed some recent bank takeovers, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is of particular interest. The FSCS is now £120,000 per person, per financial institution, so I was keen to establish which banks are linked and particularly which banks share a single…

Co-op Packaged Bank Account
Hello all. I'm a packaged bank account refugee from First Direct. I'm plumping for the Co-op Everyday Extra account as it's MSE recommended, cheapest and best matches First Directory. I need the Co-op account as a joint account to cover us both - does that mean I would need to switch a joint account over in order to get…

Lloyds Premier - worth upgrading from Club for BUPA?
I noticed my Lloyds app saying I was eligible for a Lloyds Premier account recently. This surprised me as I had it in my head you needed a £100k income to qualify, but it seems paying in £5k pcm does the trick. As my salary goes in and straight out to a savings account for a few days at the end of the month before coming…
