Once a BOS customer always a BOS customer, even when you closed accounts years ago?

I closed my accounts years ago but from time to time receive you haven’t logged into your account for six months emails. I did log in, in the past to see no BOS accounts but it listed my Halifax…

Monzo Have Sent Me Someone Else's Debit Card
Just wondering how this could have happened and is there anything sinister to be concerned about? New card sent to my property address in someone else's name. I have reported this to Monzo who have requested me to destroy the card. I have requested that they give me an explanation as to how this has happened. The issue of…

Need a little advice, my take home pay is different to whats calculated...
So I've been using this https://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php to calculate my take home pay estimates... I earn 38K a year. According to the calculator my PAYE should be £423.83 and NI £169.53 But the actual deductions were £441.20 and £176.49 Not wildly different but nearly a weeks shopping. But I also have a…

Nationwide New Look
The "improvements" Nationwide have made are far from helpful. I tried to stick with the new version, but a few minutes and a few problem have induced me to switch back. 1 Views are much more spread out/ Much more scrolling needed to reach the section you want 2 Taken away the ability to hover over a menus and see a list.…

Santander free forever bank account changes
Just got a letter in the post that Santander are changing my business account to £9.99 a month. I've had it a very long time and remember Santander trying this move before only to be told they can't because the original sign up material pushed it as being free forever. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Child bank account with signatory
I'm wondering if anybody knows of a bank account for a 15yr old that has a parent as a signatory. My daughter is due a small inheritance from her mother's pension. Due to her being under 18 they stipulate that the bank account needs to be in my daughters name with her legal guardian set up as a signatory. I have seen…

Santander £180 current account switch
The Santander £180 current account switch requires you to pay in £1,500. Looking at the ts & cs, I can't see any requirement to keep that money in the account for a certain period of time but thought I'd double check here. They have some wording about not paying if you abuse the switching offer. Would that include paying…

Problems with RBS website
I have a Virgin One flexible mortgage account. RBS has recently closed the V1 website and everything has been moved to the RBS one instead. It doesn't seem to be going very well. Today I logged on to RBS, could access my account but noticed that there are no statements available. Given that we're being pushed to go…

Keeping current accounts when doing bank switches
When you switch a current account from one bank to another bank, can you still open a current account with the bank you switched from in the future? For example, if you perform a full switch from RBS to HSBC to get a switch incentive, your current account with RBS is closed. Can you now not bank with RBS anymore? I know…

Power of Attorney (finance) - registered with HSBC - now no access to account
My wife set up a finance power of attorney for her mother (94 and no longer able to look after her own account - no mobile phone, Internet etc etc). She tried to talk to HSBC to set this up, and, after a tortuous series of frustrating phone calls, was told to do it on-line. She did. Since then her mothers bank cards have…

Co-op Bank online issue.
Most of the time I don't have an issue with this bank where I've been a customer for over 15 years. But recently once logged in I can't access my current account. I just get the spinning circle for about 60 seconds, followed by 'there has been an error, please try again'. So I can't access my latest transactions or…

Child & Co RBS Branch to close
Just received notification that the Child & Co RBS branch will be closing on 29/06/2022. Not clear if the brand will continue (branded Debit Cards) or not, but it is a shame nevertheless (renovated in 2015-16 I Believe, beautiful branch and nice service, where you were often offered a drink whilst waiting).

Bank switching newbie
I haven't done this before, but as I have a Halifax account that will soon merge into Lloyds, I'm thinking about using it for a switch deal. For direct debits, could I set up direct debits to credit cards that I rarely use? Would they count for switching?
