Halifax to Lloyds problem
Since being moved to Lloyds and now using their app I am having issues with existing links to my Chip and Zopa accounts. My bank account number and sorting code remain the same with the move to Lloyds.…

Is it safe to give my bank account details to Ebay to receive payments?
I see that Ebay now require you to give your bank account details to receive payments, rather than using PayPal. How safe is this? Should I be worried about them getting hacked? Has this caused problems for people?

Starling - Toothbrush switch offer for new personal current account customers (10/08/26 to 11/10/26)
This is a bit of an odd one. A switch offer from Starling, offering switchers a free SURI Pro 2.0 toothbrush and UV clean-and-charge case. T&Cs. Your switch must be to a new Starling personal current account. Starling only allow customers to have one personal current account, so it kind of rules out anyone who is already a…

Cash for Opening/Changing Bank Accounts
Overall is this worth it ? The hassle of changing bank account & teething problems with moving DDs. I would have thought the biggest benefit would be on Banks being incentivised/forced to offer benefits to existing customers. Can Martin answer if sufficient pressure is being put on banks to do this ?

Halifax Lloyds switch
My Halifax reward account switched to Lloyds and the Lloyds app is working. However my Zopa smart saver account that was linked to the Halifax account can no longer access the account for me to pay money in. I get taken to a nonfunctional Halifax online banking front page rather than the Lloyds app. I have spent hours on…

MrsM has just signed up to Lloyds on line banking and has downloaded the app to her phone and tablet. Keeping or closing accounts
Do you get rid once they've served their purpose or do you keep them for any reason? I've 3 Halifax accounts which will be pretty pointless soon. I already have a Club Lloyd's account. I did/do keep accounts for when these switching offers came by but that's also getting pretty useless now. Why? Because I've done a few &…

Cheaper Radio Times Subscription
I was horrified to find my elderly, web-unconnected Mum was paying £128 every 6 months for a Radio Times print subscription, when the standard price on their web site is £65, or £55 if bought as a gift. So I attempted to cancel on the web site and was offered a retention price of £27.50, which I decided to accept.…
