Clear on which site? As long as the DD mandate is set up on the account you are switching to your new bank (ie. Chase) then it will count as a valid DD for switching1
-
how long after you have set this up and direct debit appears on your account list do they actually take payment ?
0 -
5ish days to set up then another 5ish for first payment.

It would be a valid DD unless the switch T&Cs stipulate a minimum DD amount though I don't think I have ever seen a switch offer which specified a minimum DD amount.

does it actually need to pay out to be classed as active for the Lloyds offer

I would always wait until the first payment has been processed for each one to be completely safe.

Have u got link to this site please to set up?
Can I set 3 up for the Lloyds switch

Nothing in the terms to say they can't all be the same so far as I have noticed.

As long as you have 3x individual DD mandates on your account that are switched over then I would imagine you will be okay

I used 3 30p in my last Lloyds switch, no issues.
