TalkTalk internet price increases
What, exactly does "most vulnerable" customers mean ?

Youfibre - any good?
Youfibre recently rolled out their services where I live and I'm tempted, but I'm worried about going to a new, unknown company in case the service isn't so good. I'm currently getting up to 100mb on Virgin Media and I rely on these speeds because my autistic daughter gets extremely upset if she can't watch her youtube…

Virgin Media bundles
I took out an 18month virgin media broadband and TV bundle for black Friday 2022. Its due to come to an end. I currently pay £38pm but it is due to explode to >£180pm for the package I have (virgin TV with all Sky Sports and BT Sports), netflix, disney plus. Clearly I don't want to pay the £180pm. When is the best time to…

FTTP Install
My sky broadband deal is coming to an end and been looking at cheaper deals for full fibre,I understand that the hub has to be installed to the nearest socket outlet but if I want it elsewhere, which would need more cabling etc, would I have to pay for the extra works.

BT Reward Card Fail via MSE
Hi, I've been unsuccessful in claiming, as a new customer, the BT reward card. I signed up to the deal via MSE. I feel I signed up correctly, through the link MSE provided and completed the sign up there and then, without closing any browsers. I have left it a few weeks after the broadband package has been live so that…

A brilliant Broadband deal from Vodafone.
My 2 year broadband contract with Vodafone was due to end on 26th January, and go up from £25 a month to £30 a month, for about 73 Mbps. I saw on VoucherCodes an offer for Virgin Media M250 full fibre broadband at £27 a month for an 18 month contract, with an Amazon voucher for £140, making the cost per month £19.22. So I…

BT gift card - new customers only
BT says "We promise you'll never pay more than a new customer when you renew your contract. No exceptions." Our contract ends in a few days, and there's a £50 gift card but only for new customers. How can they say "No exceptions" when a new customer effectively gets £50 off?

BT (EE) landline and new hub
My mum got a new landline contract recently with BT, now EE and they sent her a new hub and we sent the old one back. The landline phone is connected to the hub and the hub to the wall socket via a filter. Every couple of weeks the hub drops its connection and the phone stops working and this is freaking her out ( she is…

Virgin Broadband - current contract expires after new customer offer deadline
My 18 month deal is ending on 2 Feb. Looking on Moneysupermarket, there's currently a deal for the same service for new customers for £23.50 but the offer is going to end this Thur (16/01). I'm still under contract (until 2 Feb) so I can't sign up for this offer. I'm wondering if I give notice to cancel my current service…

extension phones with FTTP
Im advised by Plusnet ( my broadband and phone provider) than when I get FTTP next week, the 3 extension house phones wont work, nor the bell and phone in my adjacent workshop. How do I get service to these extensions and my workshop?

Community Fibre: 60 days Satisfaction Guarantee and other ways to cancel
Hi All, I'm thinking about switching from Virgin Media to CF as my VM contract is about to end in February and they're not offering anything enticing to stay with them. CF have some interesting offers - for the price I pay VM for M125 (130Mbps) I can get 500Mbps (but it's a 24 months contract instead of 18). However, CF is…

BT WiFi app
I am getting really frustrated with WiFi access when out and about. I have been with BT for a few years. I have the BT WiFi app on my phone, and previously it connected seamlessly to BT WiFi without the need to enter user name and password every time. Since the rebrand to EE, the BT WiFi app does not seem to work, and when…

Poor VM renewal offer - should I switch to Sky ??
My Virgin deal ends in about a week. I'm currently paying £64pm for M500M broadband, Mixit (free) TV, and Line Rental with Anytime Chatter. A friend has a better deal than mine, so I know it's possible. My renewal price will be over £100pm.I think I can get similar from Sky for £53, including Netflix, or £59 for ad-free…

Broadband and phone
Hi All, I am trying to work out how to do a price comparison for broadband and phone contract. This is for my elderly dad (hes 81). He has been with Plusnet for years. Not sure you can really fault the service, however there are issues with router which renews the IP address every night. Due to the age of the router…

FTTC Contract Ending - Will I have to move to FTTP?
My BT Broadband contract ends in a couple of months, Fibre 1 FTTC which has been flawless for the last 2 years, capacity/speed never an issue. The street has been cabled for Openreach FTTP and a couple of neighbours have switched. I'd be perfectly happy to renew my contract "as is" but I'm unsure if I will be obliged to…

Student broadband, issue with minimum terms
I'm a student who's just arranged housing for the next academic year (starting this summer). I was idly looking around the websites of broadband companies to get an idea of how much it's likely to cost us next year. The problem I've noticed is that nobody serving our area with fibre will offer anything less than an 18…

Vodafone Broadband any good?
Im considering moving to Vodafone from BT because I can get a quicker speed for a cheaper price. Is anyone with Vodafone? is it reliable? On the whole, BT has been pretty consistent, its just a bit expensive. We have fibre to the premises so im thinking that any provider 'should' be decent in our case?

Vodafone retention deal
I wanted to post what I think is a very good Vodafone retention deal I just accepted. Coming to an end of 500 mb fibre contract at £32.99 per month and just initiated the switch to 900 mb Toob at £29 per month. Got a couple of emails from Vodafone to call them and reconsider, so I did not expecting much. However, after not…
