End of min term notification

As the title says.
With Vodafone and min term ends 19/12/25.
As of yet I have not had any notification telling me what options I have or what my out of contract price will be.
I thought it was supposed to be 30 days before end of min term for any broadband firm to inform customers of end of term contract ending?
I have checked my online Vodafone account.

The contract doesnt end, you have signed an indefinite contract with a minimum term and potentially a promotional period which may or may not equal the minimum term.Boohoo said:As the title says.

You should receive notification when a minimum term is ending , with the price increase pointed out (if your price does increase ) etc , the post about moving onto a rolling 30 day notice contract is irrelevant in respect of the question you asked , the method of notification isn’t fixed so could be a letter , email or text and difficult to prove if no notification is received , they could say it was sent , and not their fault it was ‘lost in the post’ for example, presumably you have checked your spam email and blocked numbers on your phone .
As you know the expiration date of your minimum term anyway , it’s time to consider your options, even if VF are not following the rules

Although this is a particular company the same rules apply to anyone within Ofcoms governance
I would check you haven’t been re-contracted by some other action like agreeing to something like a speed increase or extra data etc as they can use that as the ‘excuse’ for renewing someone’s minimum term without the customer necessarily realising it1 -
Do you not have 'future bills' shown on Vodafone?Boohoo said:As the title says.

As of now it is still showing for 20 December 2025 as what I have been paying per month since April.

I read somewhere that the time to notify a customer of min term contract ending was 30 days but no less than 10 days.
Today would be 10 days for me.0 -
10 to 40 days before the minimum term expires is when you should get a notification , but as you haven’t ’forgotten’ your minimum term is about to expire, which is the reason why the regulator inserted themselves into this and required the notification to be sent , you obviously don’t need this notification to know that’s is time to act , or perhaps you are happy to move into a rolling 30 day notice ‘contract’ , and then argue about the non notification later on , TBH you just need to decide your next actions , irrespective of the notification turning up …FWIW , usually the notification contains an offer to renew , but calling them will get also achieve the same type of offer to renew or take the opportunity to look at alternatives, potentially with a new customer offer that is superior to whatever VF offer0

Does it not go beyond December? If so and it's still the same then I'd presume you're happy with what you're paying? If not either switch or contact them.Boohoo said:

20/12/25 bill is £28.70 for 80/20 speed.
There is a £11 discount but that says it runs out 19th.. and then it says your bill will be generated on 20th so not much notice.
I was going to leave VF early this year but where my bill is £28.70 pm if you leave early then you pay the non discount price of £39.70 so it was not worth it.

Unless you negotiate a new deal with VF to continue with them , there is always the likelihood that you will not get a perfect transfer to another company, but a day or two of paying an out of contract price or a few days early termination charge isn’t going to amount to much , for example if your £11 discount ends before you transfer , that’s about 30p a day more than inside the minimum term , so 3 days ‘late’ is around £1 in total , and although this is a money saving forum , that’s hardly a financial hardship , chances are the early termination charge will be similar if you joined someone else a day or two before the 19th December1
