Confused about Price Hikes
Vodafone recently announced a 7.9% annual price hike 4% CPI + 3.9% to support essential investment. Living in a rural community we have been bombarded by local media adverts to sign up to the Gigabit funding for better internet (full fibre). My question is if the government are funding the roll out of full fibre to the…

Vodafone broadband non-delivery
Hi all. I’m after some advice. We moved house on 16 Feb and 2 weeks before we notified Vodafone of our desire to transfer our broadband service to our new property. We were given an installation date of 23 Feb. But we are still waiting today over 6 weeks later. My husband has spent countless hours on the phone being given…

Stupid Question, Can I change from BT to Sky
As my BT bill is now going to hit £69 a month (Full Fibre 900 with Halo 3+), looking to change for Sky Gigafast for £45 with Wifi Max so a decent save per month (for 18 months). However, I don't have any kind of phone line but there is a BT Openreach connection, can I just use that, will BT let you or does Sky need to come…

Broadband packages
All the best broadband packages appear to be only for new broadband users? I'm currently paying Virgin £86 a month, (which apparently has a discount of £27 applied until next November, when it will revert to £113 a month), yet Virgin appear to be able to offer new broadband users a similar package at around £35 a month!

Problem with post code - help
Hello I live in a 'new' postcode that was created in 2019. This was as a result of a house that stood there being split into 4 separate houses. The street number remains the same. However when I use Mse broadband finder or the tools on retailer websites, they can find my new address ok, but hardly any provide fibre…

BT Overcharging? And Switching from FTTC to FTTP
TL;DR Why is she being charged £52.91 for internet currently and £59.17 next month when Full Fibre 100 for example is £34.99 (With phone) or £29.99 (without.)? (Since they are doing away with landlines, my mother called BT to make a move to full-fibre. I checked her bills out of curiosity and to see what package she will…

BT won't let me leave!
Following Martin's advice to find a cheaper broadband and phone deal back in January I called BT to cancel. BT sent an email to say services were stopping on 16 Feb 2024. Here were are on 4th April and BT still taking payment and refuse to cease services, despite many phone calls, emails and complaints. They just keep…

BT Line Saver
Hi Hope it’s ok to post in this Thread. My BT line saver ends on the 27th of April this year. I will go from paying £10.23 a month to £32.23 a month. I contacted BT to see if it was still an option to pay the line rental saver, however they have decided to discontinue the service. I liked the fact that I could pay in…

Sky Ultrafast Plus Broadband - thoughts?
I'm currently paying £40 a month for TalkTalk, around 41 Mbps (Yes I know... rip-off), and I can move to Sky at 500 Mbps for £32.18 month contract. Now I was originally with Sky, and moved to TT due to the line disconnecting too often. I'm reaching out to those of you who have used Sky's Ultrafast 500 Mbps and wondered…

Can you easily move back to copper Fibre from FTTP network Fibre

ISP started new contract without notice
I looked at my Plusnet Broadband account (as it had 5 days of 18 month contract left) and found they've already kicked off a new contract at £22 pm more! No notice, I thought they had to give you some. How do you cancel...ring? Or re-negotiate? Hate the faff of this. Any advice?

FTTC will I need a new master socket installed?
Have recently given Virgin media\NTL notice after 21yrs. Our only other option is FTTC but not sure if we have an acceptable master socket. When NTL did the installation they put a phone socket in the hallway but the wiring runs back to the same junction box as their broadband & TV cable. Is it likely a new FTTC ISP…

Cooling off period - is this mandatory?
Hi, if I sign up for a new broadband deal, are they obliged to provide a cooling off period? I found this by googling: "The Consumer Contracts Regulations require that a seller of goods and services to which the regulations apply must inform the purchaser of their cancellation right." None of the broadband deals I've seen…

BT Fibre 100 install question (or any direct to house install)
Just been on the chat to renew my BT deal & got offered faster broadband for less money so jumped at it. Next thing they're wanting to know if I'll be at home on date-X. Had to have a quick search what this Fibre 100 was & then had to turn it down as I don't have annual leave booked until later in the year. What does the…

Switching from Virgin
Despite following a renewal link a month before the end of my contract and thinking I’d signed up to a good new deal, somehow it went through as a new contract (I can’t see how it could) and my contract has just lapsed into the standard £64 a month. I’ve called them and chatted to them and they are not willing to honour…

Buying an EE router for BT Broadband... will it work?
I currently have BT 900Mb package. Happy enough with the package but I know that their hubs are not WiFi6. EE now for full fibre packages offer a WiFi 6 router.... question is - if I buy the WiFi6 router independently (EE branded), will it work with my BT Broadband package? If it will, will I actually see any benefit given…
