Vodafone retention deal

I wanted to post what I think is a very good Vodafone retention deal I just accepted.
Coming to an end of 500 mb fibre contract at £32.99 per month and just initiated the switch to 900 mb Toob at £29 per month.
Got a couple of emails from Vodafone to call them and reconsider, so I did not expecting much.
However, after not too much effort, I was offered 900 mb for £22 per month. After they told me that it will be going up £3 in April to £25, I asked if they could reduce it any further. The guy went off to speak to someone and came back with £19 per month, which I quickly accepted.
The decision was made even easier due to the fact that I had openreach hardware already setup and didn’t need new city fibre hardware for the Toob fibre.
Overall, extremely pleased considering I have had no issues with Vodafone over the past 21 months!

Interesting, this time last year my VF deal was coming to an end and they wouldn't budge, so I leftNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

In our area, there seems to be a lot more options now than there was a year ago, which likely helped in the discount0

We live in a very rural environment and although we've had FTTP for nearly six years the only competition is between suppliers who use OpenReach. We got fibre as part of the government's Rural Broadand initiative, but we had to work very hard to get included. We were pretty lucky as we live in a rural hamlet on the wrong side of the river Great Ouse so access is very limited
The local village (3.5miles away) has now got Trooli as well as OR but its unlikely to get anywhere close to us. I dont think Virgin is anywhere close either - that would be in Ely around ten miles away from us.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

I've just joined vodafone from talktalk. I've just signed up and new router should be here soon. reason for the change was ever since talktalk renewed my contract on new years eve I've had no voicemail 1571 service and they can't fix it. so I've gone for the vodafone 150 as that suits my needs. can you tell me how easy will it be to set up? thanks for any help.0
