County Broadband
Just worth mentioning that I signed up to County Broadband's full fibre-to-the-router connection when they were new to our area and were offering a 300Mb/s connection for the price of 50Mb/s for the first six months. When I received my first full-price invoice for the faster speed, I of course asked for the connection to…

Wrongly charged by TalkTalk
On 30th Jan I was charged by TalkTalk for a repair that I had been told multiple times I definitely did not have to pay for. This has left me with not enough money in my bank account to pay other bills that are still to go out. I contacted them and after about an hour of being cut off by the recorded voice telling me to…

VM CONTRACT ENDING
Our VM Contract ends 28 FEB. Have informed VM that we will not be renewing and they have said that we need to give 30 days notice. If this is correct it means that they will charge us approx 16 days at an inflated price. We will have honoured the 18 Month Contract in full. Anybody else had this issue. Thanks

Moving to house with full fibre Gigaclear. Options before they connect us up.
Hiya. End of this month we are moving from a house with full fibre BT broadband to a village where Gigaclear just laid Fibre, but no Open reach plans. Current owners have slowish FTTC BT connection. Gigaclear tell me it's a two stage install - cable to outside of house first, then rest of install. So we would be without…

Getting FTTP Installation options
I'm probably going have to bite the bullet and move from my FTTC provider to full fibre but was wondering how much leeway I have in where the incoming fibre will be installed. My fibre will come via the telephone pole and currently my copper line comes in from the drop cable at the front into the front corner in my living…

Hi I'm looking to switch broadband to NOW but I wanted to switch on a specific date (the day after my current contract ends) Clicked through on the website, which took me to SKY's website, to try and order and it just gave me a date which was far too soon (contract ends 2nd week in March, date given was less than 2 weeks…

Broadband early disconnection fee
Switched from Sky to Virgin for broadband in January. The day after the Virgin broadband router arrived we went on a two week holiday, never taking the router out of the box. I'd…

My broadband provider is Sky and I pay £31.50 for Superfast connection. I am out of contract and have noticed this price is increasing to £34.50 in April. They are currently offering the same package to new customers for £26. As many of the companies are increasing their prices in April would it be best to wait until then…

BT: Agent's advice in order to avoid ETC legit?
Odd one this and I wonder if anyone has had something similar. I have BT Fibre 500 and still in contract. I will be moving soon to somewhere that doesn't have Openreach FTTP yet. The best they can offer is 26 Meg. It's a virgin area so my plan is to go there and pay the ETC to BT. However the BT Home Move agent talked me…

Is there a way to test whether my internet drops?
As the title says. I've seen a few online tests for stability but wondered if anyone has used them, what's recommended and what's to be avoided. I have full fibre (150mb/s), so it should be reliable but would like to check and identify any drops for work purposes. Thanks.

Virgin media keeps dropping out but stuck in a contract!
We switched from BT to virgin media about 6 weeks ago. Ever since, broadband has been constantly dropping out when watching streaming services and when on my phone, switching me to mobile data and using all my data! I've contacted virgin media and they give some spiel about how cordless phones can disrupt the signal etc…
