Barclaycard Credit limit
I use my Barclaycard Rewards Credit card for my spending abroad as it gives me 0.25% cash back as well as being no fee and good for ATM withdrawals. However I have a rather small credit limit. £3000. When I am travelling I often get to my limit before payment day and then have to pay it down to create more room for…

Revolut card question
Hi, I lost my Revolut card today. I've re-ordered another one which won't arrive until around 10th December. I am going on a trip on Tuesday to Germany. The card had £14 on it. I've put a virtual card in my google wallet - will I be able to use the virtual card before I get the physical card? I don't want to top up my…

How do I use my credit card?
Hello all - apologies for the rambling. Having a hard time trying to improve my credit score. I’ve been at 0% utilisation on 2 credit cards for 2 years and my credit score seemingly doesn’t thank me for it. I decided to start trying to use them. 10th November - Spent £1,199 23rd November Statement Date - Paid it in full…

Long standing balances on 2 cards, best time to pay off in full?
I have 2 credit cards with approx £900 on each one. I've always paid the minimum on both each month. I'm now in a position to be able to pay both off in full, should I wait until my January payments are due to pay them off, or pay them off now? Does it/ will it make any difference to interest etc? Regards, Andy

Crediy Card Chargeback - Who is Liable?
An insurance company promised to refund my credit card after I cancelled an insurance policy within the 14 day cooling off. They didn't refund the money. Therefore, I spoke to my CC card company who arranged a chargeback. 4 weeks later the insurance company also refunded the money to my credit card account out of the blue.…

Do I lose S75 rights, if the credit card is paid off and closed/cancelled?
I have an interest free card which is coming to an end (m&s). I made some big purchases on these, car parts for car, a swiss watch etc. I have acquired two new interest free on purchase cards, and managed to move the balance using the stoozing technique onto the new cards (no balance transfer fees here). The original card…

Contactless... limitless
The current limit of £100 can be lifted by the banks, even to unlimited amounts, it appears. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2025/dec/19/uk-contactless-card-limit-of-100-to-be-scrapped-from-19-march The article has also this nugget: "However, despite rising shop prices, a survey done for the FCA found 76% of consumers…

Is the Chase Credit Card Better than Halifax Clarity?
I'm trying to slim down some of the different banks I have accounts with. At the moment, I have a Halifax Clarity credit card, which I use rarely but it's useful when I do use it - most of my spends are on American Express. The primary reason I got it years ago was the fee free spending abroad, although it's also useful…

M&S credit card offer ??
Hi everyone, I signed up for the M&S credit card through a MoneySavingExpert offer back in November/early December. I’ve finally received the card, but I’ve completely forgotten the exact details of the signup bonus! Does anyone happen to remember what the MSE-exclusive offer was at that time? My searching skills are…

Amex and payments
I was looking to take out an Amex Gold card and one of the offers is spend £6k in first 6m to get x-amount of Reward points. My question is, if I did a balance transfer of say £1k to pay off some debt from a NatWest credit card using the Amex, would this be classed as a payment and count towards that £6k target? Of course…

Finally learned my lesson
Hi, I have been in debt since the age of 18. I am 49 now. I am paying off a DMP with 6k left. I have 5 credit cards, all with a 0 balance. I log on every day and it fills me with joy to see a 0 balance. I use them but pay them off in full every month so I never pay any interest. This is my 3rd and final DMP. I'm so happy…

Chargeback or Section 75 Protection
I called out an emergency electrician recently and was
billed on the spot for £300. I asked if I could get an invoice for insurance
purposes. They said yes, just text the company and give my email address. I paid
using my credit card, then texted and left my email. Then each day for a week I
chased up the invoice, each…

Do new NatWest credit cards need a signature on the back?
My old NatWest CC has a signature strip with 'authorised signature' printed above it. My new card also has what looks like a signore strip below the magnetic strip but no wording above the apparent signature strip and nothing related to it on the letter that the card was attached to. I'm assuming that a signature isn't…

Virgin Money Credit Cards
A few years ago, Virgin Money abandoned their online banking offering for credit cards (i.e., accessed via web browsers), and required users to access their accounts via a phone app. Is that still the situation, or do they once again offer web access? TIA

Can I get recourse through section 75?
Hello, would appreciate advice from those in the know. In March this year I bought some HiFi speakers for approx. £2000. I paid on my Barclaycard Visa (deposit first and full balance a little later). One of the speakers has since split on the side casing. Not through damage, it just split. Also this is approx. 6-7 months…

Clearpay charging me the wrong amount for an Amazon order
I bought a book on Amazon for £18.95. No problem, order details stated £18.95 as the total. All fine book delivered. My big mistake was paying for it via Clearpay . They have charged me £21.82 and have set up payments accordingly. I have queried this with them but in spite of opening a dispute with Clearpay they are giving…
