Do new NatWest credit cards need a signature on the back?
My old NatWest CC has a signature strip with 'authorised signature' printed above it. My new card also has what looks like a signore strip below the magnetic strip but no wording above the apparent signature strip and nothing related to it on the letter that the card was attached to. I'm assuming that a signature isn't…

Credit Cards - Fees on Gift Cards
For the second time I have been charged a cash transaction fee on a Caffe Nero gift card. The first time the card company and vendor blamed each other so I decided to use a different card this time - with the same result. I called MBNA to query it - expecting them to blame Caffe Nero - but instead the representative…

Do I lose S75 rights, if the credit card is paid off and closed/cancelled?
I have an interest free card which is coming to an end (m&s). I made some big purchases on these, car parts for car, a swiss watch etc. I have acquired two new interest free on purchase cards, and managed to move the balance using the stoozing technique onto the new cards (no balance transfer fees here). The original card…

Shocking treatment and marketing
So how insane, manipulative and irresponsible is this. Out of the blue, Barclays cut my platinum credit card limit by 15 times... Apparently following an alert from a credit referencing agency, despite NEVER missing a payment or ever approaching my credit ceiling in 15 years, my balance has been cleared by direct debit…

Is the Chase Credit Card Better than Halifax Clarity?
I'm trying to slim down some of the different banks I have accounts with. At the moment, I have a Halifax Clarity credit card, which I use rarely but it's useful when I do use it - most of my spends are on American Express. The primary reason I got it years ago was the fee free spending abroad, although it's also useful…

American Express Platinum Cashback Credit Card
I have this credit card and have reached £100 cashback (I’ve had this for 2 months now). I have until the end of March with the 5% cashback offer before it drops to 0.5%, it says that there is a maximum of £100 that I can earn. Is that per month or per year? It isn’t clear on the website.

Credit Card claim
My husband died in June 2025. I have noticed that he paid a deposit of £1665 for a holiday for May 2026 using his Barclaycard. He had not sorted out travel insurance, but I wondered if I could claim the deposit back from Barclaycard as I am no longer able to take this holiday. Thank you

Paying off Skoda VMFS finance agreement with Lloyds Ultra credit card
So I've got a PCP with Skoda VMFS and I'd like to pay it off with Lloyds Ultra credit card and I have two questions. 1. Will I get the 1% cashback? Have any of you tried it? Transferring funds from a PlusNet reward card
Hi all, I've recently signed up to plusnet and have been given a plusnet reward card. I'd rather have the 65 quid in my bank account to help pay off a 0% Overdraft I used to pay an unexpected demand for fees from my PhD. However I can't seem to find away to do it. The terms of the card say I can't withdraw cash from it at…
