Just seen that Lloyds have released a new Cashback CC with both no FX and 0.25% cashback.

What are people's thoughts in comparison to the Barclaycard Rewards offering that is so often discussed around here?

Cashback is via Amazon gift card
If you apply you will receive a £40 gift card
Your would have to spend £4000 on the Ultra card to get £400 -

The fx free fee transactions will be very valuable to some people because some cards charge upto 3% for fx transactions.
OP sorry no idea about the Barclaycards. However I have seen posts on this forum and other forums:
1) in 2021 Barclaycard slashed the credit limits of some/many of their cardholders to a few hundred pounds each, without any warning.
2) anecdotes suggest Barclaycard CS can sometimes leave a lot to be desired.
Do you have experience of the customer service of either Barclaycard or Lloyds? Would this matter to you?
Edited to add:
i can’t tell if the Lloyds cards is a Mastercard or Visa. Certain retailer only accept one of the two, eg the Paris Olympics only accepted Visa cards.
This thread has some discussion about Barclaycard Rewards:

"1% cashback on all card purchases you make in the first year from account opening. After that, earn 0.25% cashback."
Great deal on a fee-free Mastercard. Be cautious putting any spend other than straight-forward counter/online purchases on it tho - LBG are probably the worst offender for treating categories of spend as "cash like", the most extreme example being a museum admission fee being treated as tax.0 -

I’ve also noticed that the Halifax Cashback CC is also now advertised as Visa.I’ve got a Lloyds Premier account and often max out my 1% cashback so for the next year this should be useful to keep larger spending at the same rate.0 -

I've had the Barclaycard Rewards for a few years and think it's a good card. However, I'm going away on holiday next week and this caught my eye. I already have a Lloyds Premier account and was pre-approved for this Ultra card with a £5600 credit limit. Went through with the application because 1% cashback on holiday spending for the next year is a nice little earner. Also a nice back-up to Amex.
In the long term, while BC Rewards and Lloyds Ultra both pay 0.25%, I'll probably stick with Lloyds given Barclays customer service is terrible in my opinion.0 -
This is a nice back up to my Amex cards. I already have the Platinum credit card with Lloyds which has a sub 10% rate and fee free spending abroad. It doesn't have any cashback though.
I was offered the Ultra card, but could also see an option to swap my existing Platinum card with the same credit limit. Took 2 minutes to apply and the new card is on its way.
The Ultra has a slightly higher APR, but I don't pay interest on my cards so this isn't an issue.
My Amex cashback is at 1.25%, but this Ultra card is a good back up for places that don't accept Amex. At least for 12 months, anyway.1
