Unauthorised conversion into Sterling
What to do if a merchant makes an unauthorised conversion of a payment into Sterling on your card? Naturally, it's at a very poor rate. I have screenshots which show the EUR amount which I agreed to. I have complained to the merchant, who just keep referring me to their useless chatbot, and to curve, through whom I made…

Barclaycard Interest Rate
In 2015 I took out a Barclaycard Platinum card which offered an interest rate for purchases of 6.5% for as long as you had the card. Hard to believe now, but that was the deal. It appears that a couple of years ago they’ve started slowly increasing this and it’s now up to 20%. I accept that I have been a bit slow to spot…

Combining credit limits on cards with same provider (Virgin)
Hi, Has anyone any recent experience of requesting credit limits be 'merged' when you have two (or more) cards from the same provider, in order to get one large limit on a better card, and then close down the old card? I remember this being a thing in the early stoozing days with MBNA, and maybe Virgin and typically I've…

MBNA can't refund credit balance
I'd had a 0% balance transfer coming to an end and realised that the last DD would be taken the day after the offer ended leaving me with the problem of paying a bit of interest. OK 1 day interest for £250 wouldn't be much but it would annoy me. So I paid the final £250 early to clear the balance. I suspected that they…

Hi. My son is buying a car. He does not have a credit card. If my husband pays the deposit on our credit card or even all of it on our credit card does this invalidate Section 75 protection? The car will be registered and insured in son’s name at the point of purchase. Thank you.

The Money Tips Email has a link to a Virgin Balance transfer credit card with 0%, 13m and zero fee. It only takes me to the eligibility checker, with no link to the actual website. When I looked on Virgin Money site there was no zero fee card there. Can anyone else find the link ? I don't want to fill out the checker.
