balancer transfer money vanished

I made a balance transfer from my natwest credit card to pay amex and halifax. amex went through fine but not got the money to my halifax account natwest say all gone through and confirmed that card number right but halifax are saying they can't see it both banks are pushing me to eachother eanwhile the £600 pounds has vanished any ideas what to do next
