What can I do with this card?
I recently got a Barclaycard 0% balance transfer card, purely to take advantage of the offer of 12 months Apple TV. But I don't actually have any balances to transfer. My only borrowings at the moment are a residential mortgage and two buy-to-let mortgages. I looked in the Barclaycard app, under interest rates, and it…

Co-op Bank credit card applications currently paused
Just had a look at the Co-operative Bank's credit card pages, to find this message: We're not currently accepting credit card applications while we update our services. We're sorry for any inconvenience. I know the Co-op Bank is currently updating all manner of their systems, and this looks to be part of that process. Just…

Lloyds Cashback Creditcard 1% cashback ending (for me)
Hi folks, Did a search but couldn't spot previous discussion on this which is surprising as it must have been discussed and I probably just can't find it. Anyway Lloyds have just e-mailed to say that my 1% cashback is ending on my creditcard in a month. Obviously it was a 1 year offer to attract people, so looks like I may…

Barclaycard CSV exports
In anticipation of the closure of the Barclaycard Online Servicing web facility on 19th August, I decided to investigate the current Barclaycard facilities in Barclays Online Banking. As a long-time user of the CSV export facility of transactions, I tried the facility on the Barclays site. Not only are the columns in a…

Section 75 claim - solar installation damage
Hi all, Back last December I had a solar panel install from a national company. All Seemed OK until early January when there were heavy rain storms. I was sitting in my lounge when I noticed water running down a corner wall. On inspection of the loft, I noticed that a lug bolt from the panel rails had clearly gone in…

Is it worth keeping second credit card?
I have two credit cards. I only use one (for the protection offered). It has a small balance. A new card has just arrived for the second card which I keep for "emergency use" if on holiday abroad. Is there any point in keeping the second one? Thanks for any answers

Why can’t credit card apps simply show “Statement paid in full ✓”?
Am I the only one who finds credit card apps/websites confusing about whether you've actually paid the statement in full? If you make several payments during the month, rather than one single payment to clear it all, the statement balance can be fully paid, but new spending can leave the account showing a balance again…

Barclaycard offer question
Barclaycard normally give me a 0% BT however this month have not they have given me a 5.9% offer until October 2028 with a zero fee. Does anyone know if that 5.9% is total for the two years. It reads as if it is but just wanted to check in case I needed to use at some point.

Can't get any offers with soft checks
I used several eligibility checkers but they all came up with no offers not even for credit builder cards. Depending on what website I use, my credit score is in the 700s or 800s although some of them failed to verify identity. My salary is zero because I'm unemployed and living off substantial savings, is this likely to…

AMEX payment app issue.
I pay my card manually as a direct debit comes far too early for me. When I try and pay via bank transfer in the Amex app, it takes me to Lloyds app and all seems ok, when I''ve competed at Lloyds is redirects me back to the Amex app, but the Amex app has logged me out and no sign of payment I tried a few times but always…

I know this is a regular point of discussion online but hoping for some guidance on what best to do. I have 5 cards. 1 - £6k limit, minimal spend, clear it every month, opened 5+ years ago 2 - £6k, regular household spend, clear it every month, opened 5+ years ago 3 - £25k, no balance, this was until recently a 0% deal…

Keep old AMEX open or close it down?
I just applied for and was accepted for an AMEX Gold card. I have an AMEX BA card which I have had since 2017. It's actually currently my oldest running card. But as I rarely fly BA / use Avios anymore, I have no need for it. My question is should I keep the BA Amex open just for the tenure of the card. Or just close it…
