santander edge creditcard
Hi I have the santander edge creditcard that gave 2% cashback
now after a year its reduced to 1%
it says I earned £180 cashback
but how do I access/spend it or will it come off my bill?
i want to get rid of it now

The cashback is credited each month, so you've already been paid it.

so it comes off the creditcard bill every month?
is there a perfect day to close account

Did you not notice the refund each month?
Due you pay off in full each month, or just pay min?

Check your statements or in the Santander app if you use it. It should be pretty obvious to see the cashback credited each month.
If you're not using the card anymore then cancel it as soon as you can.
I don't know what the T&C are for receiving pending cashback if you cancel.

Because we pay cashback on each statement date, if your account is closed, or has been suspended, before a statement
date, you’ll lose any cashback you’ve earned that hasn’t been added to your account.I suspect the £3 fee is also charged at statement date so you would need to balance the amount of cashback you will earn lose against the fee

The cashback is paid on the statement date so it reduces the amount due. My monthly charge is a different time, so worth checking your statement to see when that is.
I've kept mine open with the reduced 1% cashback as it still works out as a good amount - more than the 0.5% I could get on my next best paying card.

I jumped ship to a Lloyds Ultra (1% cashback in the first year, no monthly fees) :

After the first year I'll revert to my existing Aqua Reward (0.5%, no monthly fees), sadly NLA, - unless something better comes along.
