BT with Chase Credit Card
Has anyone else had an issue making a balance transfer to a chase credit card?
In this case from a Santander All in One (fee free) card to the Chase Card. Santander said it was successful, but nothing showed on the Chase account. After a week the money reappeared on the Santander card as a credit.

As I understand it the Chase credit card (UK version) does not support balance transfers.
How did you attempt the transfer?
EDIT : Your post on another thread means, I think, that what you were attempting was a balance transfer FROM the Chase card TO the Santander card.
The 'balance' being moved is the monies owing on the card, so the transfer is a balance transfer from Chase.

Yes, original debt on Chase with Santander being used to clear it. Or at least that was the plan.
The other thread suggests using a different account number from Chase (via 3 dots in app) so trying again…0 -
So maybe edit the title of this thread…?

Chase do it differently you need to go into the card and hit settings then go to transfer. You’ll get a different card number and you’ll be able to do it from that.
Don’t know why they don’t just let you use the normal card number but hey ho, it is what it is.

It would also help if they made it clearer, but at least I have now found that it is possible.
I had messaged Chase last week when the funds were in limbo and their reply was to contact Santander. It would have been useful if they checked / explained a different 'card' number is required. For the benefit of others, it took a week for the incomplete transfer to be reversed on my Santander card. When I put it through with the revised number, it then showed on the Chase card the next day.

Because that is your underlying card number that doesn't change - they have different ones for the physical card, for online purchases and for Google Pay / Apple Pay.

If you go into the app, it's perfectly clear - it's the same details that you use for bill payment from another bank.
