Nationwide Debit card expiry date
My debit card has an expiry date of Oct 2026 - does this mean the end of Oct or start ?
And do I need to request a replacement or will this be automatic ?
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

End. It'll be automatic, banks usually issue them well before so if you haven't got a new one by the middle of the month give them a ring.

Have you used it recently?

@Woodstok2000 is pointing out that if the card has not been used for several months then the card replacement may not be automatic. As @zagfiles says, if it hasn't arrived by next week give them a call.

So I guess that answers your expiry question then….I've always had a replacement card with Nationwide 3-4 weeks before expiry, so I'd give them a call if it hasn't arrived yet.

Interestingly mine also expires end of October and I haven't had mine through yet either. Maybe they are behind with production?

If you use their app, does a replacement card show within?

Panic over for me mine has arrived this morning for the end of the October expiry, does seem shorter than other banks, maybe it's a trial to reduce costs if people change before they have expired etc
