I have some ornamental items (vases, glass and porcelain ornaments) that I want to sell but unsure how to post them and avoid damage etc A car boot sale event is probably the easiest way but in the case of the pottery items for example, these are somewhat collectable items and there are dedicated FB groups hence thought it…

Ebay protection for buyer?
So on 4 August I made three separate purchases on Ebay, from three different sellers. All three said they used Royal Mail second class for delivery. Two of the items arrived soon afterwards; one is still missing. Because of the timing, I am confident that this is not an issue with RM in my area. What is worrying is that my…

Damaged property
So we have had a DHL/EVRI delivery a few weeks ago now. When the driver was reversing his van he turned and drove into our Rattan planters and twisted them quite badly. We have the driver on camera along with the van and reg. We reached out to DHL and was told it's not them we need to contact it's EVRI. And it seems EVRI…

Never using EVRI again!
Sold an item for £5 plus £3 postage. Not received. Evri photo "proof" was of the parcel being left on a doorstep of a very different (closed) front door (I can see the correct front door on StreetView). Spent ages going through the complaints and claims procedure, uploading every tiny little thing Evri demanded, and…

Hi, I posted a large letter second class on Thursday 23rd July. On Wednesday 29th the buyer opened an INR case. I noticed on Friday that they have posted positive…

Vinted & Relay
Hi MSE-ers (First the usual apology if this has been covered - I have browsed and tried to search but not found anything). I sold an item on Vinted recently, and the buyer chose Relay which I had never even heard of before, didn't know it was an option. I found a local shop that does it and sent it off, however the buyer…

ebay selling - Your prices are 29% higher than similar items
I'm a private ebay seller. I recently listed a number of my used household items for sale. I check sold prices to get an idea of pricing. Whilst listing, ebay also suggests a price, and shows if your price is low or high on a sliding scale. I've complied with all this and I'm getting a message in my "Manage active…

Please can someone clarify the Vinted QR Inpost shipping codes for me? I always printed labels before with no issues. The other day I tried just the QR code method for shipping and since Tuesday my parcel hasn't been collected from the locker. For what I understood, I don't attach anything to the package, I scan the QR…

Parcel Hero/UPS - Damaged Items
I recently wanted to return a Bathroom Vanity Unit & Basin to the retailer. I found Parcel Hero online, entered the weights & dimensions of the 2 items and was offered a choice of 2 services from UPS. The 2 items weighed 50kg & 18kg and had a value of approximately £400. I made my selection and increased the insurance…

EBay v Vinted
Have traditionally been a long time seller on EBay selling all sorts but majority other halves vast clothing resources (😬). Haven’t done so much lately as finding Vinted more successful but just as one personal example, did decide to list a pair of trainers on EBay and “paid” to promote them. 2 and a bit weeks and no…

Pay with Ebay balance not working
I have a balance from a couple of sales so decided to spend it on a few bits and bobs. I added items to my basket then tried to check out using my ebay balance but the pay button was greyed out. As a workaround I paid £7 with my balance and 29p with paypal. This worked OK, another ebay glitch?

aerogrammes
I've found several of these at home when trying to clear out old stamps, and wondering what to do with them. The royal mail person couldn't tell me when I rang up, other than that they don't do them anymore. I don't need to write to anyone abroad, but can I just use them as letters to uk addresses? May keep one for…
