We see that we buy vintage are in our area tomorrow - does anyone have any experience of using them and would you recommend them? If not, any other suggestions on the best way to get rid of…

Vinted QR codes InPost doubt
Please can someone clarify the Vinted QR Inpost shipping codes for me? I always printed labels before with no issues. The other day I tried just the QR code method for shipping and since Tuesday my parcel hasn't been collected from the locker. For what I understood, I don't attach anything to the package, I scan the QR…

Parcel Hero/UPS - Damaged Items
I recently wanted to return a Bathroom Vanity Unit & Basin to the retailer. I found Parcel Hero online, entered the weights & dimensions of the 2 items and was offered a choice of 2 services from UPS. The 2 items weighed 50kg & 18kg and had a value of approximately £400. I made my selection and increased the insurance…

EBay v Vinted
Have traditionally been a long time seller on EBay selling all sorts but majority other halves vast clothing resources (😬). Haven’t done so much lately as finding Vinted more successful but just as one personal example, did decide to list a pair of trainers on EBay and “paid” to promote them. 2 and a bit weeks and no…

Pay with Ebay balance not working
I have a balance from a couple of sales so decided to spend it on a few bits and bobs. I added items to my basket then tried to check out using my ebay balance but the pay button was greyed out. As a workaround I paid £7 with my balance and 29p with paypal. This worked OK, another ebay glitch?

aerogrammes
I've found several of these at home when trying to clear out old stamps, and wondering what to do with them. The royal mail person couldn't tell me when I rang up, other than that they don't do them anymore. I don't need to write to anyone abroad, but can I just use them as letters to uk addresses? May keep one for…

Ebay return from global shipping program
Sold a watch on ebay to a buyer from Austria, the watch was £35 and the buyer paid £66 total. The resin strap got broke in the post and the buyer wants to return it. I thought I was protected from this when using GSP? Ebay want me to refund £66 to get back a broken £35 watch, it was damaged in the post after ebay posted it…

Royal Mail Compensation - Ebay Sellers
I don’t know if anyone else has encountered this, but Royal Mail are refusing to allow claims for compensation for lost or damaged items if the postage label is purchased through eBay, irrespective of which service is used. You may know as a private seller you have two shipping options, “simple delivery” or “custom…

eBay Custom Postage Not Available
For the past 2 days I have been unable to change my custom postage options on my listings, I just get a message saying they are not available. I called eBay and they advised it was a global issue and wouldn't be fixed until Monday because being the weekend they don't have the resources (Staff) to fix it, surely as a…

RM causing issues again
I'm really getting frustrated at Royal mail as I once again have 2 INRs open, both items sent at the end of January, both LLs. One is a business sale so all I can do is refund the buyer, and because it was a low cost, to me, stock item there's no point in wasting time fighting for a refund from RM so I've lost the original…

Ebay login/website problems - anyone else seeing this?
Anyone else experiencing extreme problems or unable to login to ebay at the moment? Typically, when I try to login I get a screen like this: I try a dozen times, then I get a screen like this: this refreshes itself for maybe 10 minutes! then I get the infamous MCaptcha screen: but it doesn't matter how many times I…

Pokemon collections worth money
Hello all, hoping for a bit of advice please. Posting on behalf of a family member. He's always been quite an avid collector of things, a bit of a hoarder. He bought some pokemon cards in the late 90s which we have now since found out they are worth a lot of money (had them valued). We are talking 10s of 1000s. He is…

Parcelforce Added Protection VAT question
Occasionally I add extra protection to parcels I am shipping for my business (using a "domestic" account) with Parcelforce Worldwide. Just noticed this morning that they are adding VAT to the additional premium cost. As I understand it this is a form of insurance and would be subject to Insurance Premium tax of 12% at…

Ebay HMRC Rules?
Been selling some old used video games and DVDs on eBay to declutter. I got a message to hand over my NI number having reached 30 sales so in order to continue I did. They claim my personal details and bank account used to withdraw will be sent to HMRC. My total turnover for the year is only £117:96 including all the…

Another post about buyers not reading a listing.
I am selling something that would often be sold with something else, let’s say saucers without the matching cups. My item title says saucers (only) my description mentions saucers only and goes on to say ‘no cups, saucers only’, the photos show just saucers. I first sold the listing which was paid for and luckily before I…

Why can't I list...?
Royal British Legion poppy pins? There are hundreds already listed - I've even bought some from eBay myself! But I get a message: "The sale of Royal British Legion poppy pins or brooches is not permitted on eBay as these are typically sold for charitable purposes." I understand the message but how have other sellers…
