I'm interested in what folks think about what feedback I should leave on ebay.

I was looking for some adapter/connector widgets.

I filtered for item location as UK.

All the prices, pictures and descriptions were similar, usual for this type of thing.

I picked a seller, 99.4%, and ordered 3, total just under £10, delivery in 2 to 4 days.

I started getting tracking info from AliExpress and then Yodel/Inpost, the package was finally delivered 10 days after ordering.

There's nothing wrong with the item(s) and the time wasn't really a problem.

I'm normally positive with my feedback, but feel that this deserves a neutral and a comment

Leave positive & just add delivery timescale, but the seller is a drop shipper.

Was it a positive experience? No. Was the seller truthful? Marginal at best. Did the item arrive in time (or even close to it)? No.

Neutral feedback seems fair. The delay and misrepresentation didn't particularly affect you but that was just chance.

I too would be giving neutral feedback with a comment about extended delivery time, shipped from overseas. But also that the goods were as-described and functional.

I'd be reporting them for lying about the item location. I'm not sure if it comes under 'search manipulation' (because they're lying their way into search results for UK items).

Neutral feedback is the best outcome they can hope for, to be honest!

I would leave feedback saying they are a drop shipper if thats what happened as its hard for many other buyers to know for certain ..ebay is complicite in this …Dropshipping is alot bigger and/or more common than you think .

Ebay doesnt care though……wouldnt surprise me if they delete your feedback

So what did the listing state would be the sum of the time for dispatch and the time for delivery? If that said 10 days or 6 working days (depending on what day of the week you bought it) then it's inline with the timescales indicated and is really your issue for not reading the listing properly.

I had an inverted situation where I listed an iPhone as for Parts/Not Working and then said in the description that the basic functions of running apps, doing stuff etc did work perfectly if on wifi but cellular, bluetooth and NFC didnt work. The buyer gave me positive feedback saying it was very well packed, in great condition, arrived quickly but it didnt work but they'd rechecked the ad and saw Id said it didnt work and that actually it worked exactly as Id said but they hadn't read.

I was rather happy with that feedback, others would have just posted negative feedback saying its broken

The thing with drop shipping of electrical items is you do not know what your getting at all regarding electrical safety issues and or fakes.

I looked at Andis shavers on ebay these are popular with barbers but the amount of dropshippers selling fakes was so many like 95% it was overwhelming…. you could not tell what was real or a fake listing.Also the sellers location is hidden so well….. it takes hours trying to figure a few listings out ..

Just attempting to look for a real Andis shaver takes hours and then its only your best guess…..that its actually real .

Ebay isnt what it used to be its flooded with fakes certainly in the case of Andis shavers so likely will be with many other electricals .

Gave up in the end and decided if you going to buy one …..you may as well get the cheapest fake for alot less or buy in a real shop at full price.

The first tracking I received was direct from AliExpress, that immediately aroused my suspicions.

According to the order confirmation the tem was due to be delivered within 4 days of ordering, optimistic but doable, I'm not worried about things being a day or 2 late.

Location was a lie, not in UK.

It actually came from AliExpress and took 10 days from order to delivery.

This, I managed to open one, it's not brilliant, but probably no different to all the others for sale on Ebay that have come from China.
