Claims Management Company
Dear All, This is my first thread. I'm in the process of addressing Credit Card claims and PPI myself. Over the last few months I have received mail shots from a company called UK Money Solutions who are based in Birmingham regarding how they can claim on your behalf 25% plus VAT. I don't intend on using them but just want…

PPI calculation
Hello I have recently been advised that I am due back some PPI that was miss-sold by Yorkshire Bank. The information received only gives a gross figure for the amount of PPI and does not explain how it was calculated e.g amount paid per month and for how long. If I ask, am I likely to receive a more detailed statement of…

CMC payment
My dad used a CMC to help him reclaim some mis-sold PPI, he unfortunately passed away last year and since this point I have been dealing with the bank directly over his claim. Does anyone know if I would still have to pay the CMC their 39% fee, as my dad agreed to use this company even though he has now passed away.

RBS Royalties Accounts
In April 2007 I applied for a bank loan with RBS. I was in massive debt for my circumstances and felt taking out a 10k loan was my only hope.to clarify I was at my wits end and desperate. The bank agreed to give me a loan if I upgraded to the royalties gold account £12.95 pm (as this would give me a better intrest rate and…

Spam text? or genuine?
Apologies if this is in the wrong place, I am a newbie. 6 months ago I had a letter from Barclays stating that they couldn't find any of my paperwork, and to be fair it was 20 years ago, although it didn't stop Halifax paying out after just 4 weeks. I didn't have any account details etc, so I just left it, this morning I…

Old PPI
Hi. Had a mortgage with The Woolwich which included PPI. This moved to Barclays as we all know. I cleared the mortgage in March 2003. Is it too late to claim against PPI? Also, I'm not sure if I have the paperwork. David_AT

Interest on PPI Repayments and PSA
I've recently been successful in getting redress on PPI paid to RBS. RBS has paid interest on the amount, but has also deducted tax from the interest figure to pay it directly to HMRC on my behalf. My question is, can this interest on PPI repayments count towards my Personal Savings Allowance, and therefore can I claim it…

Overdraft Fees
Hi, please can someone provide some guidance on a very sensitive and awkward bank fee query I have where the bank is hiding behind the 'data protection' shield! My brother has a history of being useless with his finances and has lived in a 'formal' overdraft for most of his adult years when he had what the bank call a…

No acknowledgement of ppi claim
After following all the good advice of this site, I submitted my ppi claim via post with all back up evidence etc and sent recorded delivery and it was signed for by the bank. 8 weeks later, I haven't received any type of acknowledgement or communication from them, so can I now refer this to the FOS ?

Complaining to the Ombudsman Query
I complained to the Royal Bank of Scotland 3 years ago because I felt that I was mis sold a packaged bank account. My complaint was turned down. Does anyone know if I can now complain directly to the Ombudsman on the strength of that earlier claim, or would I have to start the process again by writing to the Bank first?…

Barclays rejected first complaint but upheld second. What next?
I've complained to Barclays about our packaged bank accounts. We have all our accounts with Barclays and always have had. I claimed for our main account as we took out an additions account way back in Nov 1999, just after purchasing our house. We continued using this account until Sept 2006 when I thought it changed names…

Store Card PPI reclaim
I apologise profusely if this is covered elsewhere but I cannot find any thread specifically relating to store cards PPI claims. Is there a sticky or thread with store card addresses on as most will have a third party lender like GE? Is claiming a store card PPI refund as easy as a bank claim? I.e, will they have my…

Can I Reclaim Charges From an Arranged Overdraft?
I have a current account with Halifax which I have had for many years. Initially I had an Ultimate reward current account which allowed me up to £300 overdraft with no fees, then it was £1/day after that up to £2000. I downgraded my account last year so to stop paying the monthly fee for the account benefits, but this also…

I got mine! £1500+
I have just made a claim from Lloyds TSB for mis-selling me bank accounts, I had wanted to do it for ages but couldn't find my account number, (I have since moved to Santander), I decided one Sunday afternoon I would give it a go. As it happened I didn't need the bank account number just the sort code! I filled in the form…
