Complaining to the Ombudsman Query

LAcanal
I complained to the Royal Bank of Scotland 3 years ago because I felt that I was mis sold a packaged bank account. My complaint was turned down. Does anyone know if I can now complain directly to the Ombudsman on the strength of that earlier claim, or would I have to start the process again by writing to the Bank first?
Many thanks in anticipation.

I think you have to apply to the ombudsman within a few months of being given a thumbs down so i beleive you are out of time Nor can you complain to the bank if you have already had a refusal.
Someone may know different so wait a bitmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

No, I believe you are correct. There is a six month time limit.

You are out of time. You get 6 months following the rejection of your complaint to refer it to the FOS. 3 years is way past that.
