I received a letter concerning my PPI claim. They are not able to provide me with a final response and are awaiting new FCA guidelines which should be before the end oif 2016. Should I know complain to FOS or reply to halifax and say I am not prepared to wait.
Would be interested if anyone on the forum has had a similar letter😬

Sounds like they are waiting for a Plevin Ruling.
Difficult to see how you can take this to FOS (they'll simply tell you to wait) or demand anything (they'll simply tell you to wait)0 -
The FCA guidelines on Plevin mean the complaint has been rejected. It only applies to rejected complaints.
Its a very common outcome on rejected complaints at this time (mainly loan PPI).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
